The beds were very comfortable, and doing the bed-big check, found the cleanliness even reached in the small nooks, which is impressive. Had a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge. Beautiful town!
A	Andrea H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 10 stars I would. This was a random pick along our 7 day route, found them on AirBnB, booked it thinking it's a simple motel stop. Looked clean in the pictures. When we arrived it had a beautiful curb appeal. I made a mistake with my reservation but the owners were so helpful and fixed my date issue. They saved the day really. We ended spending an additional night here because we liked it so much. Very clean rooms. I loved the deep soak tub. Friendly owners, and the cat was a great addition and fun to watch. Walking distance to everything in town. So many things to do within an hour or so of the area, we really enjoyed our time in Salmo. Will be back again for sure.
B	Bree Hunter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the decor of the room, how cozy and clean the space was, and the cute vintage bathtub in the washroom. We travelled with two small children and there was more than enough space for our family of four. The beds were super comfortable, and staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will def be returning in the future. Thanks Brian and Robyn for your hospitality.

Room was comfortable, very clean and all needs thought of. Bed was comfortable and clean. Shower was very small but the bathroom was nice. They are accepting well behaved dogs for a $10 fee.
D	Dave Stewart-Candy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This “Little Motel with a Retro Vibe” (to quote their business card) was built in the 1950s and passing by, it could appear like many other old motels from the Golden Age of Automobile Travel we pass by – many of which are beyond their best. However, the Reno Motel’s current owners, superfriendly Brian and Robyn, bought it in 2019 and have done an outstanding job with refurbishing it. This was a complete stab-in-the-dark choice for us as we knew nothing of Salmo – and as a result we found one of the best old-school motels we have stayed in. Reno Motel was so clean and comfortable that I can definitely see us making Salmo one of our future way-point stays on future Kootenay trips as it is located on the highway junction between Trail, Creston, and Nelson. The motel is located walking distance to amenities in Salmo. We loved the Safari Room (#3) that we stayed in. My wife and I wish you all the best and you will see us back in future summer trips! During their 2 week quarantine, Robin ensured our drivers were comfortable and had everything they needed. She even offered to go out and pick up stuff for them if needed. I strongly recommend this hotel, it is very clean, and affordable! Thank you so much Robin! We will be back!
K	Kim Braun on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful and friendly hosts that went above and beyond with our needs. Gave us recommendations for events going on in the town. Rooms were perfect for a couple, might be a bit squishy for a family of 4 but we were 3 people and made it work. Would definitely go back.
L	Lew MacDonald on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SPARKLING CLEAN Travelling Hwy 3 into Alberta and decided to stop for the night in Castlegar. Our choices were bleak. A bit more searching on google maps brought up the Reno Motel in Salmo showed great reviews. A short drive down the road landed us at this quaint gem. We checked into the Moroccan room (#2). Upon entering we found a spotless retro motel room. Clean, fresh linen and a quiet setting. This is a hidden gem.
