I have been using this service for over a year and I have never really had anything negative to say and no major issues . However , I had the most distasteful review in all the times I have used world remit today. Two system operation/software flaws were discovered and one customer service flaw. I sent funds of over a 1000 at 9:23am EST and I got an email to verify my identity using a passport/driver's license/national ID immediately. I did this twice with no success and so I placed a call and was told by an agent that my funds will be released 20 minutes later. 20 minutes gone and nothing, I called for a second time at 10:29am and I was upset asking what had happened and agent claimed an email had been sent requesting bank statement, purpose of payment and what I do for work at 10:25am EST( 1 HOUR later!!!!!!!!!!). That in itself is a flaw and I was heavily upset and complained about this while I sent required documents alongside my complaints with screenshots of mail lags containing time and date stamps. Agent hung up along the line at 11:04am EST. I called another agent again at 11:05am and this time around told her what happened and she said the transaction was just approved((less than a minute ago). This called lasted for 18 mins and I asked for a compensation for a waste of my time, the inconvenience with recipient not being able to collect funds and the flaw in their system and she tells me she would send a code worth 5.99 for me to use on my next transaction and I declined saying that does not suffice for the bad customer service and bad authentication system resulting in inconveniences. In fact that sounded more insulting than a help! She further stated that there are no audit trails of me placing previous calls and that the last record she has was march 30th.( I have voice note of this conversation as an audit trail even) That further let me know the synching system for customer service agents with incoming calls was not up to par at all. I demand an appropriate compensation and apology for the inconvenience and rude customer service from 3 agents today. ofcourse recipient has just collected the funds because I was persistent but having to go through this is distateful in itself

I wish I could give no star! You deducted money from my account but there was no transaction in my history that the money was sent to my recipient! They don't even have customer service! I need my money back! Those are hard-earned money!

Worse customer service in the industry. Its only by chat and agents are extremly slow and will never slove ur problem. They promissed to transfer funds in mints but actually it can upto 2-5 days. SWTICH TO REMITLY.. their customer service is upto the standard and transfers never take more than 10mins. Good luck

Be aware! I still did not receive my money it's been 1week now. I cancel my remittance transaction because they have difficulties sending the money to BDO in Philippines. I request for a refund but still no money deposited in my bank account.

Sent money to the Philippines and after 3 days, the recipient has not received the money. phoned the customer service 2x all and they say is there is a technical issues. I probably not use their service again.

Worst experience dealing with worldremit.. their customer service has no control over transactions and even a small rain in philipines can impact money transfer anywhere in the world. Also if ur transaction is stuck nobody will be able to tell u how much time it will take.. it may take more than a year to complete… I am never going to use world remit again.

***STAY AWAY*** Being a happy Western Union Customer for last 10 years I tried their services based on advertisement. A totally HORRIBLE experience. My transaction was cancelled due to "integrity concerns" after I had already received my receipt?? The worst part is the timeline of REFUND as 7 days. Wasted about an hour making transaction and getting in touch with customer service. Stay away from this service if you want to save your time.

READ the small print!! When you transact via credit card, the transaction with your credit card company is treated like a CASH Advance and subject to ongoing Cash advance interest charges of 20% or more. So what looks like a "True good to be True" fee -- is just that. Also for transactions over $1000 they have an onerous system of validation.
