About Winter's Collision Repair
Over 50 years ago, Winter’s Collision Repair opened the doors of its small autobody shop.
Located on the corner of Elgin and Arlington, and with just 2 employees to begin with, Dave Winter’s small business became known for its attention to detail.
Winter’s quickly grew its customer base solely by word of mouth. Among customers and employees, Winter’s became well known for its integrity – for doing the job the way it should be done.
In 1973, Peter Janzen began working at Winter’s and eventually assumed the role of General Manager. Many customers believed that Peter and Dave were brothers, as they worked closely together to see the company succeed.
Since retired, both Dave and Peter remain an important part of Winter’s legacy. Their hard work is the standard we continuously set out to match and exceed.
Winter’s continues to work to the high standards and values we have practiced since 1960.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Car windows was smashed in and wallet was stolen...I dealt with Sonny Sirha for handling the replacement. Sonny worked and communicated very efficiently to have my windows ordered in and replaced in a couple of days when everywhere else was quoting much longer. He set me up in a rental car when they took my car in the shop and even went above and beyond to help process the payment through MPI pre-estimate. Really appreciated the help and based on my experience with Sonny I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else. Thanks Sonny!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Checked my car (Honda CR-V) out without an appointment on March 17, 2022 ( 'Stan' Stylianos Chalvatiz)- provided an estimate (sustained minor damage after I backed into a snowbank). Ordered a necessary part and on April 25th. 2022 replaced it. Surprisingly low charge (< $120.00) for parts and labor-far too low for the time spent. Such honesty and quality of service is rare these days: a model not only for this industry but all businesses. The customer service is heartwarming indeed. My deep gratitude!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would rate 0 stars if possible. Had my car serviced here through MPI regarding radiator damage. The shop tripled the MPI estimate which I do not believe they needed to do. 2 weeks after having the vehicle returned to me, it needed to return to the shop because one of the “ordered parts” had a hole in it and my car lost all of its coolant. When this was “resolved”, I went to pick up my vehicle and the coolant was left empty again! Shady service that I would not trust again! This is the third time the vehicle needed to return to the shop and the issue has not been resolved for nearly 3 months.
