Wing Creek Resort

We have just returned from a week at Wing Creek and it was the most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time! The property is absolutely gorgeous, the cabins are beautiful, and we cannot say enough about Kevin & Deb's amazing hospitality. We stayed in a Cedarbrook Cottage (request #5, it has the best view!), which is fully appointed with everything you'll need in the kitchen, plus a super-romantic wood-burning fireplace. The rest of the cottage was extremely comfortable and nicely laid out. Our front deck was covered in concord grape vines, which gave us lots of shade (which was welcome in 35'C weather!). We were worried about the heat, and so brought our own fan, which was ultimately unnecessary. The area cools down comfortably at night, and we were never in want of air conditioning. The rest of the resort was absolutely gorgeous, with fruit trees and bushes lining each unit and an orchard. We picked raspberries off the bush outside our cabin and fresh cherries out of the orchard nearly every day; it was such a treat! Wing Creek cuts through the middle of the property, and can be heard all over the resort. It is lovely to sit on your deck in the evening and listen to the trickle of the creek. The trail down to the beach is also lovely, with switchbacks through the delicious-smelling trees. Fair warning - the walk up is a bit steep, but it just makes you work for your time lazing in the sun on the beach. :) Deb & Kevin, the owner-operators, go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. They even washed our bug-covered car shortly after we arrived. You can see all of the lovely touches they have added to the property, such as seating along the beach pathway in particularly beautiful places along the creek. They are wonderful to chat to, but also give everyone their privacy. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a couples getaway. It is perfectly "away from it all", without being too remote. We will certainly be back for another visit - later in the season next time, so we can take advantage of all of the fruit trees! - Lee-Anne & Charlie

My wife & I had such an amazing time in our cozy little cabin at the resort! Such a serene property with the creek running through it. Plus the 5 separate private fire pits on the beach which made the stay even better! Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

If you are lucky enough to travel to Kaslo for a holiday, do not miss Wing Creek Resort. Spectacular setting and unparalleled care given by Debra and Kevin. Care for the environment, guests and owners. A dream of theirs that is being realized. ❤❤

Stayed 4 nights for our honeymoon and fell in love with the place as we drove up. Unbelievably quiet and such a cozy cottage. Close proximity to Kaslo for any needs and just an hour from Nelson if you're looking for a bigger city feel. Beautiful private beach that's worth the walk back up the hill, squeaky clean and meticulously maintained. Owner's are the nicest folk around and go above and beyond to make it a memorable stay. Can't recommend the place enough!!! 11/10!!!

This resort is absolutely magical! We spent 3 nights here for our mini-moon and loved every minute. The cabins are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The view is great, we spent hours just hanging out on the deck staring at the view! The beach is definitely more of a trek then we anticipated, if you have any mobility issues you likely wouldn’t be able to go to the beach as it has quite but of elevation change to get there and back. We didn’t mind as we spent most of the days in kaslo on the water there. The sunset paddle we booked with our package actually left from kaslo (originally we thought it was right from the resort) but was a lot of fun, however it wasn’t actually at sunset. The paddle started at 3:30 and we were back at the cabin before the sun was even setting - still fun though! Highly recommend Wing Creek if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

Wing Creek Resort is the quintessential spot in Kaslo, BC, Canada. The grounds are meticulously well kept, and the views of Kootenay Lake and the surrounding mountains from the cottages are outstanding. They even have a private beachfront where you can go for a dip in the lake.

We just returned from a too short week at this most magical of places. Kevin and Debra have created an oasis of calm, peace and beauty. The cabin was perfect and clean and had everything we needed; the beach was private and serene; the location allowed us to explore the Kaslo area with ease. What a place to rejuvenate! And thanks to our hosts... you are gracious and kind and have such an infectious happiness, it was hard to say goodbye. We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Wing Creek Resort for two nights in September, 2020. Kevin and Deb have created such a wonderful place to stay. The cabins are beautiful, secluded, private, well-appointed and so comfortable. We also hung out in the Resort Centre, which has a bunch of board games, musical instruments, books and movies to enjoy. The grounds are beautiful to walk around through too, well worth leaving your cozy cabin to explore! The private beach front is awesome as well, a great place to watch the lake and relax. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to returning soon! Thank you Kevin and Deb!
