Dr.Nguyen is a great doctor. She made me feel very comfortable and explained my procedure to me thoroughly so that I knew what to expect. She has a warm personality and made my experience easy. On the other hand the receptionists are somewhat callous and inconsiderate. They are not welcoming and would rather chat among themselves than pay attention to parients.

Compared to other locations, the chiropractic services here are very affordable. I had a wonderful experience at the Wellness Centre - Dr. Rachel Schuster went above and beyond in our initial appointment and made me feel comfortable while she addressed all my concerns. I really appreciated her experience and her knowledge - she gave me a number of resources and information that I didn't know, despite going to a chiropractor for most of my life. I'll be sure to come back here for other services, like massage!

Before leaving UofC I finally built the courage to visit the Wellness Centre as I was in need of guidance. After weeks of waiting, I met with "Bonny" who was the rudest human being I had the displeasure of meeting. I still get chills thinking about how poor the visit was. I have never left an appointment in tears, until then. Not only did she accuse me of lying when I filled in a question wrong on the survey, but she had zero compassion, zero understanding of what I was going through at the time and exhibited NO intention or care to help. I could expect more compassion and professionalism out of a brick wall. I seriously believe her licence should be taken away from her.

I recently decided to change my family doctor to one at the Wellness Centre out of convenience and because I’m already paying for health benefits as a full-time student anyways. While the doctors I’ve dealt with are thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate, the two out of four receptionists have made my experience at the Wellness Centre very frustrating and off-putting. Two of them have the worst customer service skills I’ve ever experienced from receptionists in a professional environment. They seem like they hate their jobs and did not provide the best advice for me despite explaining my situation. I informed the receptionist I had multiple concerns and instead of advising me to book a longer appointment, she booked me a 10 minutes appointment where I was only able to express 1 concern. Not only did she fail to tell me I wouldn’t be able to book another appointment in the same day, she also failed to tell me it was only a 10 minute appointment! Now I can’t even get a doctor’s note for school and the nurse, who had informed me I couldn’t book more than one appointment per day through AHS, was tactlessly unapologetic and didn’t even offer to consult the receptionists so this wouldn’t happen to anybody else. Based on past reviews, it seems nothing has changed with the receptionists. I just feel sorry for international students who have no other option but to see this clinic for health concerns.

Just left the clinic. front staff very unprofessional and not able to handle a mistake they made. Had an appointment booked for 3 30 for some vaccins. Got there and the front desk lady say that my appointment was at 3 15 and now has to be rescheduled because I m late. I told her there is a mistake because my appointment was at 3 30 and ALL she can say was: on the system it shows 3 30, i can rebook you for another day. Then I asked her if I should have received a confirmation email or something, so I can prove that my appointment was at 3 30, she said i should have received a confirmation call. I showed her my phone call list and there were no confirmation calls, she remained silent. I m like, really?!! This is how you handle conflicting situations and solve problems?!! At Mcdonald they know how to do better I m sure! Your staff, in particular this lady, should take some courses and learn how to deal with clients. Very low level for a university.

The wellness centre has come a long way from the previous years. There were some errors that occurred in the past as a result of some misunderstanding, however the matter was dealt with in an appropriate and professional manner. Furthermore, Dr. Ma, is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. She really tries to help and is very attentive to her patients, providing a safe and comfortable environment. The only unfortunate thing is that Dr. Ma is only available on Tuesdays and is off for the summer. Also recently I have contacted reception to book some appointments, and you do so by leaving a message. I am surprised at how quick they get back to you now! Thank you to the reception for all the hard work you do as well as Dr. Ma for being a fantastic family doctor.

Just got a TD adulthood dose done, front desk staff were nice, Megan Wolfe is a terrible nurse. She was condescending, for example I was trying to let her know what work I needed done and she just cut me off and said "I'm not done talking yet". As a nurse a large part of your job is to listen to patients. It is important to be good with people, and sadly, Megan is not. With that behavior, how am I supposed to be comfortable with her jabbing my shoulder with a needle?

I called to get a UTI test. If anyone has ever had a UTI, you will know that there are incredibly uncomfortable and if not treated can lead to kidney infections. Kidney infections can leave you with long lasting kidney damage and can be awful to treat. I called, and the lady on the phone had no idea what a UTI test was. Then I was informed that the earliest appointment they had was for May 12th. If I was to wait 21 days to get a UTI test, that would most likely leave me with a kidney infection. If a student was unaware what they were suffering from was a UTI and simply waited through the discomfort and then back pain, this clinic would be directly responsible for the kidney infection of that student. In this wait time, this clinic is directly harming students trying to get tests like this, especially if as an international student this is the only option they have access to. This wellness centre needs to do better, and understand they need to prioritize access tests like this to students. I have never been more let down by my school. If you have another option go somewhere else. You won't be treated in a reasonable time frame.
