Wearabouts (Vernon)

I had the best experience at Wearabouts! Everyone was so helpful and lovely and helped me find some awesome boots I will be back!

Greatest clothing store in Vernon!! Shoes, purses, belts, jewelry, natural skincare (sunscreen and deodorant), & travel accessories to boot.

I received a pair of shoes for my birthday from a friend who purchased them there, and they were delivered personally by the boss Monica! I have never had poor service in that store, and always been greeted. Unless the girls are busy of course!

My mother in law and I go to Wereabouts a few times a year and spend hours there. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and never get tired of us. I love the brands they have (Patagonia, Smartwool)... and the clothes last. I've done returns easy peasy. The best place to go for lifestyle clothes and great service.

I was so disappointed with their return policy and customer service. My husband was in the hospital for test so I thought I would do some Christmas shopping. We are from out of town. Big mistake. If the sizes were wrong, I thought they could be exchanged on our way home from Christmas driving through Vernon but didn't realize it was a Sunday and they were closed. I called to get an extension and they were nice enough to give the kids two weeks to get to Vernon. Unfortunately, the last weekend they were planning to go, our family dog passed away unexpectedly so returns was not on our minds. It wasn't brought up until Friday so I called Whereabouts several times and no one picked up. My husband and I decided to make the trip and assumed they would understand and make the exchange. The manager, Aimee was not there so the employees could not help us. We made the trip for nothing. I contacted Aimee and she had to talk to the owner, Monica. Monica finally leaves a message on the answering machine (not tell me personally), saying they are not willing to help us but were pretty generous to us up to that point. Were they? I wanted an exchange not a return and they wouldn't even do that. Bad customer service if you ask me. We ran a business for 15 years. Customers were number one, not number two. I called to speak to Monica just in case she misunderstood the situation. When she returned my call, I could tell she had attitude and would not hear me out so it was hard to keep from not getting upset. I was shocked that she hung up on me. Not very professional, I would say. I was just about to tell her our family dog died.

LOVE this store! I personally shop here for all of my clothing and am never disappointed at the quality of clothing that this store sells. Most times when I walk in the door I am greeted with a smile and asked if I need any help. The only occasions that I am not greeted is when the store is super busy...but I don't hold that against them. I have shopped at all 3 Wearabouts locations and I can honestly say that the Vernon one is my favorite because of the setup and openness.. I also love all the girls that work there ❤

Great local shop that carries some of the best products going, especially Patagonia (whom I feel may be one of the greatest companies on the planet). Plus I'm an annoying long and lanky size to fit, and the girls at Wearabouts (both Vernon and Salmon Arm) have been really good to me with finding a correct size, performing sometimes a number of exchanges, and if necessary, ordering in my very specific extra long size. Monica & Amy have especially gone out of their way for me a few times even though I must be a pain in the butt. You really have to love a little locally owned shop that actually listens to their customers feedback and treats you well! Thanks for helping to make an ugly chap look pretty decent ;) I'll be back!
