The worth campsite /RV park we have ever stayed in 50 years.you have to pay for your entire stay up front. If for any reason you have to leave a day early ( death in the fsmily) or get forced out by forest fires they will not give you any compensation. They charge extra for kids tents

They have a small store to keep you hydrated and fed after the ride, they have lots of horses so the animals are able to have breaks between rides, and the instructors are friendly enough. However, while we were at the mid point of our ride, one of the horses tried to rub his nose on the instructor, likely because he was itchy. Instead of breaking the bad habit with good training, the instructor slapped the horse with extreme force 3 times on the snout. I was shocked. She raised her hand to give him a 4th whack and the horse winced and pulled away, giving me the impression that they hit their horses often. Then, when we got back, we removed the saddles from the horses and many of them had sore spots and blisters from the saddles chafing them, and I overheard the instructors telling another staff member who seemed to be a caretaker to just put polysporin on them as they didn't have time to bandage the wounds properly. I also realized that in the total over 2 hours we were there, the horses didn't have access to water on a day where it was over 35 degrees. I feel so bad for these sweet, intelligent animals and will not be going back.
D	Donna Bornholdt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watch Lake Lodge was wonderful. We camped in our RV. There were many cabins available. Tow boat rental and horseback riding were also available. The grounds were neat and clean. The owners friendly and available. We were unable to pay with credit, debit or E-transfer so will have to send a cheque by post. Make sure you ask when making your booking. This resort is very rustic and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The cabins are amazing and they have wonderful views of the lake. It’s a home away from home and it’s our favourite place on earth. It’s rustic and cozy and it’s a good place for people who like being outdoors. The horse rides are one of our favourite parts, the horses and staff are amazing and help you ride safely if you are scared. Its the week we look forward to the most and can’t wait to be up there again. Maeve And The Thomas and O’Donohue Family
G	Gerry Olund on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent a weekend at the Watch Lake Resort. Everything as advertised. Rustic cabin living which we enjoyed since we are very accustomed to all of the luxuries. Getting our own water from the well pump and getting a fire going to heat the cabin and the stove for supper and breakfast was a reminder on how things have changed. The owner and staff were very pleasant, accommodating and efficient. We would certainly recommend this but remember that I said "rustic" cabin living. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

The scenery is spectacular, the horse back riding is the best part of this ideal holiday and the warm greeting and big smiles you'll receive from Dimps , Doreen , Bob, Lori and all of the wonderful people make this somewhere you’ll go back to year after year. We certainly have. The best place for kids and the happiest place for the rest of us who want to ride, hike, cycle, fish , swim, run read, and hang with friends around picnic tables. The cabins are beautifully laid out and comfortable havens for peaceful sleeps. Lots of room to spread out here. Thank you for another great holiday! Like everyone else. We will be back!
