This is an absolute gem to discover all year round. We reserved a weekend with 5 course menu with wine pairing. It was absolutely an amazing experience. We let the sommelier have fun with a few wine upgrades that made the evening even better. If you go, definitely book a tasting in the wine cellar. They open special bottles every week. This allows the mere mortals to be able to sample some awesome wines that would otherwise require you to sell your car or a kidney ;) I will drive the 2-hours again just to visit the cellar for their tastings.

It's definitely not a 4.2 star resort. It's more like a 3 star so you do have to lower your standards a bit. The carpet in the hall ways needs to be replaced, paint seems to be chipping in the common areas and the outside needs a re paint. The whole place needs some love. On our first day, we arrived super early and although we didn't expect to be checked in at 10am we thought it would have been nice. We checked in at 430pm because the rooms were not available. They also didn't have an option to hold our bags but we were able to use the facilities which was nice. First day service was awful, check in line was wrapped around the lobby, our restaurant reservations times were mixed up, the champagne bottle I ordered for a birthday wasn't waiting for us when we arrived and a few other service based things causing lots of wait for food and help in general. Food options are limited. They are definitely missing a 24/7 snack bar and unfortunately the bar near the pool is closed otherwise this would have changed our entire experience and made it more fun. The room was amazing with the wrap around fire place but we were promised a "golf view" and got a parking lot view instead only to come to know that a golf view doesn't actually exist. Please also note that this is more of a time share hotel so although you can book directly the units are privately owned which may be why it's a bit unloved and not as taken care of as it should be. Lots of potential but wouldn't highly recommend to go out of your way for.

We stayed with their 'imimate moments' package for one night and it was splendid. The food at the Rok and the breakfast at Chaise58 was delicious, good portions. The room was beautiful and we had a great view of the lake and hills. We enjoyed the pools for hours. The staff was helpful and the facilities at the Emotion hotel were gorgeous. Great resort! Their reception has really nice pens.

For the price I paid, I expected, at the very least, above average service. Despite doing the check-in on my phone beforehand, the whole process took over 30 minutes because 2 out 3 kiosks were not working and the lineup at reception was super long. Then I was missing the bottle of wine in my room that was promised in my package. Called reception 3 times to get this resolved but nobody answered (I was not even put on hold). Had to walk back to reception, wait some more and get my wine. Then at supper it took over 25 minutes to get our waitress to show up, only to find out that the 2 for 1 drink included in my package required a card they should have given me. More walking to reception to complain... Then our order at the restaurant was messed up. Very frustrating experience, I would not recommend this place.

The overall experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Checking in took us almost an hour, and the personnel at the counter was not welcoming at all, borderline rude. Once checked into the room, we did not have our bathrobe for the spa so we tried to call room service, but the number was busy (and was busy throughout out our stay, it was not available at all, even for any food service). We had to go downstairs to ask for it, TWICE, and waited an HOUR AND A HALF... for a BATHROBE. We had to call the main line through our cell phones and have someone put a rush on the request for someone to finally bring over the bathrobe. It didn't end there. We were getting ready to go to the restaurant which, to our surprise (or not) the host mentioned that they did not have our reservation and that all the restaurants at the site were booked and nothing could be done (they couldn't even send any food to our rooms). Mind you we had booked a PACKAGE that included a 5 course meal and for which I received an e-mail asking for our confirmation to which I did reply, and showed to them. We were told to order food from another restaurant outside of the site and have it delivered....So we did. Thankfully, Olivia at reception which was attentive and considerate enough to reimbursed part of our stay and offered a slight discount for the inconvenience but this is not the type of experience I was expecting going to a spa/resort. It is clear that there was a lack of personnel but also consideration for the people who are coming for a relaxing experience to have an even more stressed and frustrated weekend. Hopefully they will address the staffing issues and train them adequately. In the meantime you are better off spending 500$ for a weekend elsewhere.

Today is my check in date. I have not arrived yet, but I will tell you that I’m actually disappointed that I booked here. It’s completely impossible to get a hold of someone. I called at least, no joke, 60 times yesterday to order our food for tonight since I know it will take forever to get a hold of someone. I wish I would have read the reviews sooner. I will come back here to update my review after my stay. Hoping that everything runs smoothly. -Update; the day went super well. We got here at 1:30pm and even though check in was at 4pm our room was ready on arrival! When we got to the room I immediately called the restaurant to order our take out meal for the evening (thinking I was going to have to wait on hold forever) but no, someone answered on the first ring and I placed my order. Food was delivered to my room at 6pm ;). The issue and the stress incurred is from trying to get a hold of someone in the hotel when you are not actually here. They never ever pick up. This was the worst part for me, trying to reach someone. All in all the people working here are super nice and are doing their best to accommodate.

I have to break this review down in many parts because there’s a lot of aspects to it… The location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The mountains are absolutely breathtaking taking and this resort is really secluded. The spa ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The reason I give it only three stars is because it’s much smaller than the typical Nordic spa. I truly wish they offered more than just the hot baths, saunas and steam rooms. The restaurants ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was probably the most disappointing part of my stay, the restaurant was mediocre and very over priced. But then again I give it a standing chance because this is an upscale spa & resort. Overall, this is an expansive trip to take but if you’re looking for somewhere to just relax it’s perfect. The rooms are absolutely stunning, major appreciation for the interior designer. If you’re looking for something that has more of a Nordic aspect to it, unfortunately I would suggest elsewhere. Although, the staff was very nice and welcoming, the options of extra activities they have are super cool, and the location really just takes the cake.

I hope this review help people in the future! Me and my husband went to this resort, to spend a day.. we spend $750 CA. For one night. Well! customer service is awful, the guy at the front desk was looking rushing to finish, We didn’t have any information about how anything works there. For getting a room service, there’s no menu, we spend 30 min, walking to each restaurant to see how we can get food at the room, we call the room service and they told us to go to their website , also we spend 20 min, trying to figures out everything. To don’t make this to long! This place is way to expensive for what really it is! We left feeling like we have been scam!!!! If you guys wanna spend your day in a spa, there’s so many other options, that this expensive resort with a very low customer service! We should be feeling welcome and feel comfortable in a relax resort, or any establishment that offer their service to the public.. at the end of the day, you are expending your money there right! So you wanna be treated good!!
