Villager Motel - Burstall

Most out of town employees stay here or at the other motel. Rates are good, rooms very clean, bed was also good, front Street was friendly as well. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Hi Ms. Mary Graham, I am Jay from Burstall Motel. On Mar. 5, 2016, I got a call from Joseph, my partner, who you talked to on the phone 3 times. He told me to check an email Google sent us regarding your review for Villager Motel. (Villager Motel pasted your review under my motel’s review) I was thinking to call you but I didn’t because it is not fair to my business since your review stays forever. This is the real story that I checked with Joseph. On Feb. 23, 2016, you called us to make a reservation of 1 night stay for Feb. 26, 2016 under the name of J******(ph #403-8xx-xxxx, c/c # 54xx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) On Feb. 26, 2016, you had not checked in by 7PM, Joseph called you to find your arrival time. You said your plan changed so you couldn’t come in. Then Joseph explained the “cancellation policy” and said he would charge the room rate to your credit card number you gave him. You said you would come in the next day, on Feb. 27, 2016 and asked him not to charge. (You even mentioned to him that you work for a hotel !!!) The next day, you called him and said that your plan changed again, so you will check in on Mar. 1, 2016. On Mar. 1, 2016, you didn’t check in nor did you call us. Joseph called you once again and found out you were not coming. Joseph and I discussed charging the room rate to you and came to a conclusion to not to charge. This is what happened as far as Joseph’s side story and it is more logical to me than yours. Burstall Motel consists of 5 buildings(plus 1 garage/storage) with 26 guest rooms. 14 rooms were built in 1998, 6 rooms in 2002, and 6 in 2008; none were built in the 70’s or even the 80’s. Since the first year, we didn’t allow pets in rooms not because we don’t like them—we actually love them, especially dogs—but because it becomes difficult to clean the rooms afterwards. The same reason applies to cigarettes. All rooms are non-smoking!!! I wish you would have mentioned bringing your lovely pet from the beginning. Then this nonsense/fiction wouldn’t have even started. Washing the shower curtains/window coverings is not a seasonal job. It should be daily job.

If you are looking for a motel to stay at in Burstall Sk (choice of 2) this is the one!! Very reasonably priced, clean motel, family run, just a couple blocks to great Chinese food and essential grocerys. Pet friendly ($10 to have pets-not per pet) and very Polite owners. Very rude owners at the Burstall motel... Be warned if you make a reservation at the Burstall motel to guarantee the room and give your credit number and need to cancel for some reason the rude front desk staff twists their "policy" in all ways to prevent you from cancelling! Be careful giving them your credit number as they had charged me for pushing my reservation as my plans had changed and I wasn't going to be in that town, was well over 48 hours with the 24 hour policy he continued to state! Also not pet friendly! But back to the Villager Motel lol they had good coffee, VERY comfortable beds and pillows, had a kitchenette available which was Very handy. Couple suggestions would be to put in a actual night stand between two beds so there is drawers or shelf space available instead of a board hanging off the wall, and to wash the shower curtains and window coverings this spring ☺️ Thank you Villager Motel for being kind to us during our stay! Recently returned from Burstall. Great place to stay in Burstall. Now a days extremely busy place in town, hard to get a room. I spent more then two months in town. To get a room here, waited few days, but finally got a room here. Nice manager in place, help in each and every way. I strongly recommend this place to stay. Better room rate in town even busy. Best kitchenette room in area. Thanks Villager Motel. Stayed in February-March 2018.

My favorite place to stay when visiting Burstall! It's looking awesome with their new renovations to the floors, bathrooms, AC units, and beds.

Just wanted to leave a positive review because I mistakenly double booked here and the other motel in town and the staff at the villager was very understanding and accommodating. Didn't charge me any fees or anything. Thank you villager inn, I appreciate the understanding and positive response to the situation. 89 a night fyi
