J	Julia M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought I'd get myself a birthday present on a recent trip to Whistler and have a facial at the Vida spa in The Fairmont. What a mistake! A day after the treatment I woke up with a sore, bumpy red face that lasted nearly two weeks. I let the spa know and they offered another facial and told me I had an allergic reaction. I'd rather a refund than dare let them touch my face again, but no offer was forthcoming. I also felt that the setup at this spa was awkward and not relaxing (you have to walk through the hotel's public pool area in your winter boots to access the change rooms and then go back through a public hallway to re-enter the spa). Overall, I don't recommend Vida. I think they are pretending to be much higher-end than they actually are to justify their prices.

J	Janet Gilmour on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite disappointed- I booked a deep tissue massage for after my 2 Nd day of skiing. The receptionist took a few minutes to acknowledge me, then was abrupt. The prices are very high relative to other nice hotel spa prices. The massage was very disappointing- not deep tissue, not very effective for a therapeutic post skiing massage. After the massage there was no offer of an herbal tea or the spa facilities- (on arrival I had been told I could use the spa for an hour after) I was simply directed to pay at the desk. Very disappointing for a Fairmont Facility. Will not return to Vida next year when I return to Whistler- will try any other spa.
K	Katy Green on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a wonderful experience here. Booked a 60 min Deep Tissue and Muscle Release massage and it was by far the best massage I’ve ever had. Brenda is amazing! It was the perfect end to my rest day after multiple days of biking. I highly suggest coming here.
L	Linda Thompson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was blessed to have experienced the Ayurvedic Swedana 90 minute massage treatment this March. The highlights for me were . . . 1. Very hot oil slowly poured onto your body and then massaged into your skin, hydrating and loosening your tension. Moving from one area to the next - forehead and collar bone areas stood out as exceptional 2. The steam experience in the cabinet was incredibly detoxifying and next level calming. The dried flowers and herbs incorporate into the steam and envelope your body with natural therapeutic joy. 3. Dry brushing and exfoliating is way better than I expected after steaming and oiling the skin! It wakes everything back up and prepares you to get back out into the world with pep in your step! Definitely will do this experience again! The only piece we were disappointed in is that when we arrived we did not get setup with robes or a locker in the health club.
