Be very careful about signing up for membership with this gym. If you relocate they will refuse to accommodate digital cancellation. In an age where everything is digital this has to be the most ludicrous policy I've seen. In fact I'd go so far as to say this is a s**tty business tactic to keep cash flowing from your account into theirs. My personal recommendation would be to save your money and take your business to a low cost alternative such as Planet Fitness, or get some fresh air and go for a run.

Good Gym lots of equipment. People that are posting negatively about this place have unrealistic expectations. The fees a reasonable. Posting a bad review because you are held to your commitment/contract is unethical in my opinion.

Platinum Family Fitness and Jay Arteaga are an absolute scam and make their money through theft; not fitness. They have been doing this for years and need to be stopped; read through every review here, on their facebook page, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau and ask yourself if you really want to risk becoming a member of this place? Without even sharing banking information with these sick people I have been sent to collections for thousands of dollars, without even working out once. There are stories on the gym facebook page of senior citizens being scammed out of $3000 after cancelling their membership for hip surgery. If you have been scammed by these people, Please join the facebook group "Raise your hand if you've been victimized by Platinum Family Fitness"

Be careful when you sign a contract with this gym. Once you are bound to the contract, they don’t have time to talk to you for any advice. You keep chasing Mr. Jay but he is never available. They had to close the gym during pandemic and as a consequence they extended my contract without even informing me. Now I have to pay for the closure of their gym without my consent! The receptionist is always confused about billing. He will deduct the payments thrice a month and have a lame excuse stating this is how we do!! I feel so stuck after signing the contract with this gym. Its a big time disappointment!! I have never dealt with such ignorant and unprofessional people before.

10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM. The way they operate their business is nothing but shady and Jay Arteaga who manages this location is nothing but an intolerable ***** with no customer service skills. Unwarranted fees, charging my CC without permission then trying to argue why they don't need to reimburse you. Avoid at all costs. Unless you like attending below averages facilities with bottom of the barrel service. Then this is the place for you...

I signed up for the gym in Whitby, i liked going there until they closed down. When my boyfriend moved into Oshawa we were looking for a gym that will treat us well. Then we found this place, we thought because we were treated nicely in the Whitby location that we were going to be treated the same since we thought they were a franchise. Little did I know I was going to run into some problems down the road. We went in and was given a 1 week pass for free, now we were very adamant with signing up for a gym but we made sure that when that first week had passed that we made our payments. When we no longer had the time to go, we went in to let them know that we were no longer interested in coming in, so the person at the desk said ok that is fine we did not sign up for anything we did not give them a void cheque or anything to take money from my account. Because it has happened that they had my account information at the Whitby location and taken payments off it so I had to put a stop payment on it. I was not going to make the same mistake twice. We went there 2 years ago now, it's not recent either. So I recently received an email from a collection agency stating that I owe the gym $2,203.25. How? when I am not even a member and how did you get this amount? I went into the gym this evening only to be told they cannot do any thing about it. The guy working tonight said that the gym would have called me or received warning that I have missed payments, so when I told him that I only received this email from them, he said that they might have gotten the incorrect email or phone number. So why am I getting all of your monthly promotions then if you did not have the correct email? Where was the 1st letter that you supposedly sent me? or the calls you supposedly made to me? How is that fair to people who work hard? I get it COVID shut a lot of businesses down, but this is not the way to treat your customers. I know the owner or management will not do anything about it even when they we all know they can, because desperate times calls for desperate measure, but don't do it to the expense of making a hardworking individuals who are trying to make a decent living by screwing them over. I hope the company does the right thing and not do what they do to others like they did to me. All I did was try out a company that I thought was going to be more decent than others. They turned out to be the biggest disappointment.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time or money on this gym. They had to close the gym during pandemic and as a consequence they extended my contract and payments without even informing me. Zero consideration of covid-19, people not wanting or able to be in the public and safety has been taken into account. Jay is impossible to talk to, always coming up with reasons you are being charged or reasons you are wrong about your account. I canceled my membership in December and I am still being charged in February after many attempts to stop payments and confirm cancelation. Do not sign a contract or even a free trial with this gym.

Had taken out a week long trial pass to utilize the gym and they intended not to honour it. After arguing with them to honour the pass I found the gym was far to tightly packed with some non-operational equipment blocking your way. After finally using the gym for a couple days I decided that the prices and the lack of any amenity’s are far too poor for anyone.
