This branch is the ONLY branch open in Surrey since COVID. The hours of operation are M-F 9:30-3:00. I went there at 9:20 and the line up was around the building. I had to get to work so I left. I returned at 2:40 after leaving work early, once again there was a line up. So after standing in line for 40 minutes with only 4 people in front of me before getting in, the security guard tells us, β€œSorry the bank is closed at 3:00, come back tomorrow”. There was at least 10 people behind me. The people in front of me asked to speak to the manager. We waited for about 12 minutes and no one came out. The security guard opened the door to let a customer out, so once again a man asked to speak to the manager. The woman replied, β€œThe bank is closed” and locked the door. What poor business, even if the manager was busy, send someone else out instead of hiding behind the security guard. Terrible business by Vancity.

Terrible service and understaffed. I arrived 40 minutes before closing and waited outside. During that entire time two people were let inside. I was turned away at the door at closing time as they selected an arbitrary cutoff point for the line. It was managed and handled extremely poorly. There were cases of people cutting the line without punishment. There should be better communication occurring but this place is not run well.

This is worst branch probably some going around and that's why the slowness, when a credit card is held for over a month and nobody notified the customer who is 80 years old, I do question the intelligence of the operations, this inadequacy comes from the top level down, and is furthermore why surrey gets a horrible reputation, this is not the first and I hope c level executives will take not of what is going on here. And on thier response not even a extension, just a general inquiries line, thanks wp lol

Okay so where do I start. I went there to open an account and Dal Toor was assigned to make that account for me. He was rude, dismissive and entirely unhelpful. He didn’t give me any information on the account I was opening since I am new to the country I don’t know how the Canadian banking system works. he didn’t help at all. After opening the account he hastily made me leave. Didn’t charge the 5$ share fee from my account even though he mentioned he would. I had to go back to the branch for that. Then the card stopped working so I had to go back to the branch. They didn’t help again and made me change the pin. The card didn’t work after that either so had to go the bank again to get it fixed and then they replaced the card for me. And then the online banking for the card didn’t work so had to call them again and when it finally worked. After two weeks and multiple trips and phone calls to the bank. I get a letter from the tax department of the bank that says I am a tax payer in another country and have to call them AGAIN. so I call them again and well looks like Dal Toor wasn’t done with me so he had ticked β€œforeign tax payer” on my account for no reason. I had to call them again and fix that.

5 stars for the solid service from Darren. Always pleasant to deal with and gets stuff done. Promote this man! Hes an asset to Vancity.

This branch is the worse branch in Lower mainland, my family just arrived from Afghanistan and unfortunately, the government opened accounts in Vancity for all of 11 members. I have been there with my family for couples of time but never satisfied, I never been able to do what I want. They just created problems for me for nothing, their employees are asking very simple questions from their manager and manager is making even harder for us. So now I'm closing all family members' accounts with Vancity and opening new account in TD. If you don't have headache and don't want to have headache please don't go to this branch. This is the worse place to go

2022-04-25: I've been with Vancity since I was 12, but over the last 15 years the service has declined to the point where I'm seriously considering closing my account. I've been having problems connecting to the Vancity Visa website, and it tells me it will send me a code via email, and it doesn't matter how many times I tell it to send an email it doesn't. I called their service number to try to get assistance, and out of curiosity I left myself on hold. For over 3 hours. Past their phone service center closing at 8pm. I probably could have stayed on hold all night long and it never would have told me nobody was coming to the phone. This is after my husband left a message for a callback about 4 days ago and still hasn't received a call back yet. I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to show up at a branch to get any service. Wish me luck. 2022-04-26: So because of the "response" I received today, I tried calling again today... another 2 hours and 15 minutes on hold on the main phone line before I gave up. Either the phone system is broken somewhere and nobody is noticing, or you don't have enough employees to deal with the call volume. Guess I'll have to show up unannounced at the branch.
