★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've picked up a number of items at VPO lately; they offer a wide range of quality products, the staff are helpful and friendly, but not pushy or continually in your face. In addition, their reward program provides a really nice discount.
Consistent with most backcountry equipment outlets, you may find some items priced either a little higher or lower; so while it makes sense to shop around, if 'getting out' is the real focus, factoring in the extra hassle of traffic and ancillary travel expenses makes 'one-stop shopping' a lot less stressful.
