Not to waste your time. Yes, ladies—- size 12 is enough for the owner to tell you that you won’t fit anything in the store in front of the people you’re with.
—- I guess I was supposed to wait longer for her to talk to me about what clothes I could fit, but I really didn’t feel like it after that. I went straight back to my hotel room and changed my clothes because she made me feel like I must look really overweight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I have shopped at Kinna Sohna since we arrived in Stratford 4 years ago. Sartaj, the owner, is a truly gracious and helpful guide to the clothes, gifts, art and carpets the store has on offer. She has sourced many of the items from individual women producers (in a number of countries) and there is therefore a richness and depth to the shopping experience that is hard to find elsewhere.
On a personal note, for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day I have often asked Sartaj to select items for me to choose from, items that she thinks my wife will like. She knows her customers as individuals (including my wife) and her choices have proved to be unerring.
When it comes to clothes and accessories, the customer service and experience is second to none. Sartaj knows which items and which combinations of items might be suitable (and flattering) for each individual and the whole experience for the customer is practically holistic. And never too expensive either.
A firm recommend!

The owner makes customers of all sizes feel welcome to browse and if you decide to try something on, she and has a knack for matching each customer with what makes them look fabulous. Kinna Sohna is also my first stop when I'm looking for a beautifully designed gift of anything from hair ornaments to sculptures.

I never go in without coming out with something beautiful and unique, not just clothes ( of all sizes, I'm certainly not a size zero ) but scarves, other textiles, jewelry and so much more. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and care Sartaj shows to her customers , not only in the excellent personal service but in the array of treasures in this jewel box of a store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am beyond grateful for Kinna Sohna and I simply love Sartaj! The handwoven, hand block printed cotton clothing she designs has literally changed my life. After moving to Stratford last summer and sweltering with the heat, I was thrilled to discover these beautiful kaftans (see photo). I'm so much more comfortable now in the 30 degree weather we've already had this season. Sartaj's expert styling advice, in-depth knowledge of natural dyes, weaving and origin of the fabrics is astonishing! It was thrilling to find the most stunning kaftan dresses, fun asymmetrical dresses, gorgeous kurti tunics and seriously spectacular hand embroidered coats in my size (XXL). Now, nearly my entire wardrobe has come from Kinna Sohna. I've never worn anything that makes me feel so beautiful! I have long struggled with acceptance of my body size and with Sartaj's encouragement and care throughout many hours spent with her, trying different items on I can honestly say she's helped me to find my inner (and outer) goddess. Her studio is absolutely the most welcoming and safe space where transformation happens and beauty blossoms. Thank you, Sartaj! Many blessings to you.

The owner has an excellent eye for colour and size, she has successfully recommended gift items for both my husband and son.
I especially value the honesty of the shop owners assistance; I trust her to tell me the truth about style, colour and size.
