★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people working here are friendly, compassionate, hard working, neighbourly people who are genuinely friendly. Groceries are nothing special but the coffee bar / restaurant is very good. Meals can be excellent with beer and wine available at a good price during happy hour. A few times I've been served a frozen lasagna or gross powdered egg french toast I had to complain about but as a patient regular everything was sorted out. The restaurant does have odd rigid rules they won't bend resulting in a steak without onions or a burger without pickles or something else similar but they are getting better about being more flexible ... slowly. I've also learned to buy onion from produce or a pickle from the deli counter to make my meals perfect. The one issue I always have inside is other customers flouting their rules or acting entitled which can lead to some overly harsh repercussions from staff after very long days or during covid lockdowns or when overstretched staff face massive rushes and LONG long lines but I always feel comfortable here because I'm an expert study of customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Products are fine and some (probably most) staff are friendly and helpful, but they often have the worst service at the cash register. They are too busy chatting with each other even while ringing in the products, and they are too cool to even say hello with a smile. Just terrible. The management should know that customers (at least me and my husband) are often leaving with disgust.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very disappointing place. Tried to purchase fish from the fish department. I had to wait 5 minutes just to get some service as the person behind the counter ignored me. Once he started to take my order he got anther person to fulfill it. This person charged me 2 and a half times for the order. It was a good job that I caught him in the act. Then I was followed by the security guard. Everywhere I went, he was behind me. I am a senior and really would have liked my experience in this store to be stellar. I would suggest that you go to another store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend's mom is a regular customer here and people work here recognize her and treat her very well. I had chances to experience the great customer service while I visited this Urban Fare with her!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chronically understaffed.
You will wait ten minutes to check-out during slow times and twenty (or more!) minutes during peak times. I don't know if this level of staffing is normal or just due to covid, but at these prices the wait times are ridiculous and unacceptable. Hire more staff!
I've been coming here for the last three months of 2021 so I can't speak to before then, but the line-ups have been so consistently long I now will not go in without peeking in the windows first to see if the lines are crazy-long or just regular-ten-minutes-long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So understaffed. Saturday morning, one cashier…..Watched tons of people walk in and leave when they see the massive line ups. Starting to feel like businesses are just using COVID to save money on staffing and lower our expectations for service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered fruits salad, Avocado toast, and vegetable omelette for a Sunday breakfast. It was a good value and price. Outside patio is very pleasant for sitting with your friend and eating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super busy location. They have hot food and salad bar with some limited selections. Long lines, service is definitely very friendly but kinda slow given how long are the lines. Washrooms are dirty. Could be way better, like in other locations.
Positives - nice seating area, great gourmet foods, delicious coffee and well priced freshly squeezed orange juice! ($5 for 16 oz). Friendly service.
