My recent (and first) appointment at Uptown Dental Centre was a very positive experience! The team members that I was in communication with leading up to my appointment and once I got to the office were very welcoming, responsive, efficient, friendly and service focused. As a new customer to the office, I really appreciated Dr.Dhillon taking the time to chat with me to get to know me, and that him and one of the receptionist stayed after hours to ensure I was able to get all of the x-rays/scans I needed to done in my initial appointment. The customer service gesture was appreciated, and I will definitely be back for appointments in future!

Best dental clinic in Victoria. Very friendly staff, accepts Healthy Kids Plan without charging additional fees. My family had the best cleanings that we have ever had. Relaxed atmosphere...more like a spa and less like a dental office. Headsets for Netflix and Sunglasses for the bright view out the floor to roof glass. Beautiful office. Dentist is very good. Highly recommend this office. Feel free to give my name as a referral...and book Kim for your cleaning. Gentle, experienced and very kind. Appointment bookings within a few days for cleanings...great with kids as well.

O stars should be an allowable rating. Would NEVER recommend to anyone. Was a patient for 2 years and out of the blue Dr. Dhillon recommended 3 new fillings, a possible crown AND invisalign in one appointment. Never had any of these treatments been recommended before. Dr. Dhillion couldn't even answer when I asked him if they were the fillings that he himself had done, and weather he did a bad job of them or not which is why they all of a sudden needed replacing. Went for a second opinion at another dental office and was told only 1 filling was necessary, and wasn't even 1 of the 3 Dr. Dhillon said I needed done right away. My new dentist stated the dark halos on the fillings Dr. Dhillon said needed replacing is actually just the glue to hold the filling in place. The whole experience with Dr. Dhillon seemed like a scam to make more money off my dental plan while simultaneously damaging my teeth more unnecessarily. 10/10 will never go back and voiced all of these concerns to his receptionist.

I work in downtown and I've been coming to uptown Dental for few years. The dentist and staff are consistently great. Diana and company in the front always try to make sure my appointment runs on time. They make sure my insurance coverages are always correct so I get billed accurately. My dentist is always gentle. I make sure I come regularly every six months. The office is high tech. Everything is digital. My employees have been coming here now as well. Every one has nothing but great things to say. All around great.

We are blessed with such an awesome dentist as Dr. Dave Dhillon, and his staff. We recently got our night guards there. The procedure he used to get the shape of our mouths, was amazingly unobtrusive! There was no pain and no discomfort. The night guards are clear and fit beautifully. We love wearing them. Thanks a million, Dr. Dhillon! Thanks a million Uptown Dental!

Front office wasn’t wearing masks, and when we finally switched to another dentist due to our poor experience and our friends traumatic experience, our new dentist told my husband that he had tartar buildup over 7 years old!!! So what were they doing with our cleanings at uptown?? Who knows. Do not recommend. Go to Mayfair dental instead and thank me later

The dental assistant and receptionist were both very nice which is the only reason it’s getting two stars. Dr. Dhillon was incredibly nonchalant and seemed to not even want to be there. I needed to have a tooth extracted and before hand he gave almost no information beforehand of what to expect or how to care for it after. I told him before it started that my body typically needs more numbing for it to actually work for me, he brushes it off and said β€œyou should be fine” with just one injection. It ended up taking 3 separate injections and on the third one he seemed quite annoyed with me and preceded to very harshly insert the needle into the roof of my mouth making me literally yelp and start crying. When he got to the actual extraction he was very forceful which I know is to be expected with an extraction but this was next level forceful, I thought my jaw was going be dislocated. After the tooth was out he walked right out of the room and that was the last I saw of him. He gave literally no post op instructions at all. While I was still sitting there I had to pick fragments of tooth off my tongue as he left so much debris in my mouth. His assistant was super kind and was giving me all the post extraction advice she could be ultimately it was the same basic stuff that was on the piece of paper I was given. No info about how long it would take to heal, nothing about what to expect in the coming days or when I could stop worrying about dry socket. When the assistant went to find him to see if he had anything else to say to me after I could here him say β€œno” and she just came back and said I could leave. It all felt very unprofessional and honestly a little traumatizing. I’ve had to find all the information about healing by myself. That should be something the dentist tells you.

I went to this clinic for years as I needed dental support desperately. My interactions with Dr. Dhillon were hit or miss - some days he would be very friendly, but the majority of the time, I felt quite dismissed. As someone with a lot of dental shame and who didn't have the means or insurance to pay for any procedures when I was younger, I was relieved to be able to get my work done, however I left the clinic multiple times feeling horrible. During my first wisdom teeth procedure, I left the clinic crying as I had never felt so dismissed in my concerns (particularly while I was in such a vulnerable space, i.e., being operated on and very overstimulated), and when I then felt emotional, it was chalked up to me not being able to handle the procedure (which actually did not hurt very much), rather than due to the dismissive and belittling conversation we had prior to the operation. There was one very friendly receptionist, whereas the others were incredibly unkind and it was very obvious to me I was seen more as a source of income rather than a patient/person. Additionally, when I finally did switch dentists and asked for the xrays taken a year or two prior, the receptionist informed my current dentist that they had nothing on record because they hadn't seen me in years (which was untrue). The clinic space itself is nice, but I do not think the interactions are worth it. My new dentist is incredibly affirming and listens to my concerns, as do the reception staff! You have rights as a patient and the right to be treated with dignity - best of luck!
