Go to this branch since 2001 and I am always happy to be served by professionals and simply very good people. I opened my account in this branch more than 18 years ago and it always been the best experience.

One of their financial advisers was extremely helpless. Not going to point out names but I don’t recommend you coming here for an advice, as I was the one trying to pull the answers out of her. I felt like I knew more about banking products than the person I spoke to. ALSO, no smile on anyone’s faces whatsoever. Are you pressured to work there? I don’t get it. What kind of customer service is that!?

Firstly, I would like to mention Lilia and the young lady with the desk next to her - these ladies are the heart of the branch. They are very kind, helpful, and caring. I’ve been a client of this bank since 2012 . As a Ukrainian, of course I wanted to open an account in this bank. Unfortunately, the War came to my home, so my family and I had to flee to Canada. As everyone knows, it is impossible to live in Canada without any credit history. Knowing that UCU has a program for Ukrainians, I asked Svitlana Sokirka about it, who is apparently the supervisor of this location, and was shocked by the answer “ Unfortunately, you cannot apply for a credit card with us, because you've been to Canada before War as a visitor and also because you have debit and savings accounts with us”. I couldn’t believe that someone could say such things. She also said: “I don’t understand why you would need a credit card if you have money on your account anyway. How it could help you?” Moreover, she complained about how she doesn't understand why Ukrainians, who already have account in different banks, such as TD, come to open a credit card for $500 at the UCU. Long story short, today we got very good deals at other Canadian banks. I will definitely close both saving and chequing accounts with UCU. I strongly recommend NOT to have ANY deals with this bank. They even charge for every debit purchase. P.S: if all UCU employees were like Lilia and the other young girl, UCU would've had way more clients.
