Doug is our "go to" tax guy and we appreciate everything he does for us. We continue to recommend him to all of our expat friends and acquaintances.

Will never go back to this place. Not only are they over priced and costs too much to have them do your taxes, but when they screw up your taxes, they are not at all accountable and in fact, when speaking with Doug himself, he was rude and insulting. Would not recommend TransCanada tax to anyone.

If your looking for accuracy don't go here to have your taxes done. I was reassessed because of a mistake Doug Made on my return and now owe 1700.00 when I asked him for help he told me there was nothing he could do but offer an apology. Simply put No guarantee and ripped off. Not even and offer to refund the amount he charged me to do my tax for that year. Unprofessional Doug

My spouse and I have had our taxes done here for a number of years. There was never a second thought to where we were going to make an appointment for our taxes. I have always enjoyed our appointments with Doug, and he is the reason we have given Trans Canada our business. This year due to covid I wore a mask into the office, it is a small space and often times there are elderly clients present when I go. It is also mandatory for me to wear a mask at my place of employment, so I am very comfortable with them. When I entered the office the receptionist was so awkward and almost unwilling to help me that I had to ask her repeatedly if there was an issue or if I was doing something wrong. She seemed as though she torn between laughing at me and telling me that I was at the wrong business. It was an infuriating experience. But I decided maybe I was reading too much into it. When I returned to collect my taxes I wore a mask again, having just left work, and this time was laughed at openly. I walked into the office, locked eyes with an employee holding her dog, and stood there while she burst out laughing. After she regained her composure she decided to help me. The office is very small, on top of the two front staff and Doug, there were 5 customers. This means there was zero social distancing. No cleaning in between clients, no control over who came into the office, nothing. In fact the employee with the dog came within inches of my face, and a client that she sat beside to help. Personal beliefs about the global pandemic are one thing, but a business has a responsibility for the well being of its clientele. Which, by what I saw, Trans Canada could care less. I will never set foot in that office again, and I will never recommend this business again. I regret that I paid them $150 to laugh at me, and that I can't give them zero stars.
