Shima was such a pleasure to work with. She is SO knowledgeable and dissected everything I needed to know about my teeth and the cost associated with it. I couldn't have asked for a better appointment. She's to the point, and thorough. Would highly recommend her!

Great dental office! The staff are just such a ray of sunshine. They are so thorough and explain everything to me using pictures and xrays taken from my teeth so I can see what is going on inside my mouth. Jackie the hygienist is just so lovely. I highly recommend.

Can't say enough about how lovely the team is at this office. From the moment you're greeted at reception to when you're in the chair, as a patient you are treated with kindness, understanding and professionalism. Dr. Piplani has helped me greatly with my dental health and I can say with all honesty that she is the most thorough and sincerely patient-focused dentist I've ever had.

The entire team at this office is FANTASTIC! Starting with Jennifer at reception who greets you with a pleasant smile no matter what pressure she is under. In my opinion, you will never get a better Hygienist than Jackie. She is VERY gentle and always has a smile and makes you laugh. I have followed Jackie practically my whole life and would not trust anyone one else! I've had the pleasure of having Dr. Shima (and her side kick Sabrina) in 2020 and both of them are very professional, gentle and sweet. Dr. Shima ensures that you are always comfortable and not in pain. One thing I really appreciate is that she makes sure you are fully aware of what is happening during and after your procedure(s); having a full comprehension of the procedure, the options available and never gives you less than perfection, leaving her office 100% satisfied. Very caring, intelligent and knowledgeable with her dentistry skills. My only regret is not having found them sooner!

Your dental care is in good hands with Doctor Shima and Jackie. They are thorough, professional, transparent about recommended treatment, great at answering questions and very attentive. When Dr Shima injects freezing I don't feel a thing. They take the worry out of a visit to the dentist.  Toothworks at 121 King West hires lovely people.

I got my fillings done from Dr. Shima, Sabrina being her assistant. They both are so far the best team that I have witnessed who delivers excellent patient care. I had severe sensitivity with my old filling and after replacement, am eating choclates, having cold water without any complaints.Dr. Shima I didn't feel a thing when you anasthetized me.Also,got my cleaning done from Jackie and she did some real magic there.My teeth felt pampered and got all the necessary attention..Jackie you are absolutely amazing❤. P.s I work as an admin for this office, I see crowns,full mouth rehabs,veneers, whitening, denture cases and I take huge pride in the work that the team delivers.

If you are looking for great dentists, hygienist and overall a great dental team, this is the place to come! The entire staff here are wonderful, they are very friendly, and provide the very best dental service I have seen. Over the past few years I have been jumping between other dental offices but have not found one that truly provides outstanding service like Toothworks King-York. A special thank you to Sabrinah and Dr. Shima! They are a terrific team, are both very knowledgeable, and inform you about your treatment thoroughly and in detail. I felt very confident that my teeth would be in good hands. Also a big thank you to the rest of the dental team! I highly recommend this dental office for anyone seeking excellent care!

I had an issue with a chipped back top tooth and needed it crowned. Dr. Shima fixed my tooth without needing root canal therapy, just the crown. My bottom crown underneath it was very old and pieces had broken off and the cement was exposed. With very little gap between the two teeth and the bite not being straight, Dr. Shima fixed this with two gold crowns (Gold crowns were necessary unless I didn’t mind having gum shaved off or the top tooth root canaled to make more space for ceramic). Stunning work and I would know as I have 5 other ceramic crowns lol. Dr. Shima also fixed 9 fillings/cavities and my teeth have never felt better. Also, I had a gum graft done on a front tooth of mine by a specialist and it hurt for many months after. I asked Dr. Shima to root canal and crown that tooth because I couldn’t handle the constant sensitivity on that tooth after the gum graft. But Dr. Shima told me to wait a few more months with sensitivity management as she believed the nerve would settle and she was right! It’s 100% back to normal now, so she saved me from getting a root canal AND crown that were not necessary. I believe there are dental clinics that try to scam you but this is NOT one of them. Dr. Shima is lovely and smart and I highly recommend her, as I am someone who lost in the genetic lottery for easy/manageable teeth. The rest of the office staff - Jennifer, the receptionist is awesome and is super helpful when I need urgent bookings/information. My dental hygienist Jackie is a legend, she is the sweetest woman and very careful when cleaning so as not to hurt. And Dr. Shima has an amazing assistant, Sabrina who seems to be completely in tune and on the ball with what Dr. Shima needs at critical moments in time. It’s almost like she can read minds with the way she anticipates what you or the Dr. require while work in the mouth is underway. It’s a highly efficient and organized office with a great team.
