★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my daughter down from Port Alberni to get new pointe shoes. These are her 3rd pair. Had a wonderful experience and Ella was an amazing help. Thanks For the great experience. Definitely worth the trip again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All I needed was a body suit but I left feeling harassed, offended and, frankly, traumatized. Amy was the one who helped me but I dont think helped is a word I can use because I was not even able to make any purchases. She talked about her and the other employees bodies and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. She has no professional ettiquette and has no right running a business. Would not recommend!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t shop here unless you like having your young child being harassed the second they walk through the door by a rude and pompous employee ( or owner?) my daughter is under the age of the mask mandate and this store has some wacky rule where they force young children to wear a mask while shopping, however when I explained that my daughter is under the age she told me that my child was big. Not exactly a warm and friendly welcoming into a local shop where I had planned to buy two pairs of skating tights and a skate dress - Which by the way were marked up $30-$40 more than what I could just order online but I like to try and shop local first. I wish Elleswear had what I was looking for- I went there first and the nice lady working recommended “toes and taps” would have more figure skating tights and dresses.
I will never go to this shop ever again nor will I ever recommend anybody to shop here. If you need dancewear seriously go to Elleswear it has a better dance selection and NICE workers. I should of read the google reviews first before I wasted my time driving to “toes and taps” and also trying to find a parking spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of dance wear and shoes! The staff are all very knowledgable and helpful; if they don't have something, they can usually order it for you. I have had issues with improperly fitted pointe shoes in the past, but Amy was able to find me shoes that are not only comfortable and fit properly, but that also show off my feet! Fantastic local shop for all your dance needs!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this store recently and had a very pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They take pointe shoe fitting very seriously and you can trust they know what they are talking about. They answered all my questions and were very helpful.
I even brought my 2 year old and baby into the store and they were so sweet to them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a customer for about 15 years and have bought countless dance shoes, tights, leotards, pointe shoes.... anything a dancer needs. It has always been a great experience. They have the best selection on the island and ordering an item that is out of stock item is easy and fast. All the staff is very knowledgable and friendly. Amy is fabulous and doing a great job running a small local business. How amazing that they are still doing the stamp program (to get 25% off) during a 2+ year long pandemic?!?
