The first photo is what we got, second is what we WANTED! Very disappointed considering we spent about $50 for this cake to not get what we asked for. It not even close. Looks rushed and not thought out at all. Will not be going back.

I've tried the almond croissants four times now and every time they've been undercooked/translucent inside and not laminated well. Not sure why I keep hoping the next time will be better. The bread was superb though.

I have been coming to Patisserie Daniel since I was a little girl and it has always been a family favourite. The sourdough. The superseed bread. The croissants. The sweets. This time, I ordered a Black Forest Cake for a friend's birthday - and it was NEXT LEVEL. Moist chocolate cake, fresh not-too-sweet whipped cream, and sour cherries topped with (I think) chocolate-covered maraschinos and hazelnut chocolate curls. DIVINE. There's a one-star review on this item and I'm confident they reviewed the wrong bakery. Thank you for all of the happiness you bring!

We had their raspberry tart today and it’s SO GOOD!! It’s our first time trying this place as we only notice it because of a long line up. It’s worth the wait!

OMG! French pastry at its finest. This was my first trip in; during the pandemic we always saw people lined up to get in. Now I know why. Everything looks delicious and decadent. I bought way too many items, but I just had to try them. The chocolate croissant was amazing. I got muffins, apple croissant, chocolate croissant, plain croissant, cinnamon bun and a cherry Danish. Not one disappointment among them. The staff were attentive and first rate. I will be back

Excellent little bakery with a lot of charm. The quirky decor is matched by the amazing selection of desserts and breads. Highly recommended.

Patisserie Daniel has been around for ages, I've often driven by it and would see a line up outside before they open their doors. This bakery offers traditional baked goods and breads as well as cakes. We picked up a few croissants and a cinnamon bun. Both croissants are far from the flaky layer upon layers of French croissants, they are more crispy on the outside with a denser interior. However, the flavor and filling was not too sweet and you could really taste the almonds and fresh apples. Now, the star has to be the CINNAMON BUN! WOW, its the softest, fluffiest, ooey gooeyst (?!) cinnamon bun I've had. It's made with brioche dough, moist and you get the cinnamon sugar filling around in each layer. I would definitely go again for just for the cinnamon bun!

There's a lot in this cook street bakery to like. The pastries are great and definitely are on top of many experiences and the cinnamon bun accolades are well deserved! I prefer cream cheese frosting, but the cinnamon bun is among the best buns apart from that that I have enjoyed! It has a lot of cinnamon flavor, layered throughout, and it hits all my boxes for an amazing bite: soft inside with a little chew, and a subtle crisp outside for the textural contrast. The icing I do appreciate. The almond and apple croissant are both just as satisfying, but the best experience is with their sourdough. Over days of eating I have found it not to take on the same hardness as others so it's much easier to continually enjoy it over the week. The thinner crust adds to this perhaps and it maintains a softness with a good balance of tartness from their culture. Would come back many times over!
