Nice trail trail through the sub-alpine area. It was a little late in the season, but there was still lots of color. Surprisingly good path.

gorgeous views, wild flowers and a very well maintained somewhat easy trail. on July 25 there were very few moskitos. but still bring insect repellent.

A beautiful hike with plenty of natural sights to take in. There are parts of the path that were quite narrow, but you are surrounded by fields of wild flowers (in August at least). Keep an eye on the signs and know your direction, because it was pretty easy to get lost. Took my friend and I a while to get our bearings to figure out the way back to the parking.

Absolutely spectacular views and only got to the First Brother! Ended up coming in late (around 2pm) and wanted to turn around before it got dark. A hiker ahead of us told us he saw a black bear run by, so we thought it would be best to keep it safe. The trail itself was a bit of a trek for me near the end (being from Ontario), so now I know that "moderate" trails in BC are nothing like "moderate" trails in Ontario! A lot of rocky uphill I'm not used to. Always worth it for that mountain range skyline though! And soooo many mushrooms. I'll be coming back for that Third Brother, just need to arrive earlier and pack more food/water.

If sweeping mountain vistas, vibrant alpine meadows and fields of wildflowers are things you appreciate, then you'll probably enjoy this hike. From the trailhead, it's approximately 11 kilometres and roughly 400m of elevation to the peak of the Three Brothers Mountain. Unlike many other trails in Southwestern BC that involve extensive travel through heavy forest before obtaining much of a view, this hike starts off at an elevation of 1800m, so almost immediately, you'll be privy to some beautiful views of the surrounding landscape as you walk through a lightly forested path flanked by the occasional patch of wildflowers. At roughly 6.5km in is where things really open up and the splendour of the surrounding cascade mountains really become apparent. The elevation on this trail is erratic - for the first 4.5 km, you'll gradually slope down into the forest, passing by a backcountry campsite at roughly the 4km mark. For the next 2km is where the elevation picks up a bit, as you'll climb about 250m in that time. After that, there isn't much elevation to speak of until you reach the mountain itself at roughly the 10km point. While the path to the mountain peak may look a bit precarious from afar, there really isn't anything in terms of exposure - just take your time. A few things to note - there are LOTS of bugs on this trail, so put on some good bug spray before you start. Additionally, the cumulative elevation total is about 800m, as you will need to hike back up those down slopes from the start of the trail. This is easily do-able in a day - depending on your pace, you'll want to allot between 6-8 hours. Finally, for those looking to hike it this summer in 2021, some of the forest fire smoke from the interior was visible along the horizon, although Manning remained mostly clear as of July 20th.
