Welcome to the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary. We exist for the sole purpose of helping our forgotten veterans in any way needed. Too long have the heroes and their families that laid everything on the line for us and in some cases, made the ultimate sacrifice, suffered in silence. IT’S TIME WE STAND UP FOR THEM!
Founder, Allan Reid, values community service and has volunteered hundreds of hours for many charities in and around Calgary, including the Magic of Christmas, Street Lights, and the Calgary Toyrun. Now, he’s overjoyed to be spearheading this new endeavor.
Food Service
We strive to restore dignity to all who use our service and assistance is not pre-defined. Clients are able to shop for themselves to ensure they receive exactly what they need and enough to cover 10-14 days of food for their situation.

How We’re Supported
We are supported by caring individuals and businesses in our community and the surrounding area. We also appreciate the involvement of many educational institutions who are consistently holding food drives.

Monetary donations are collected in the form of single or monthly contributions via our website or at the warehouse.
You can support Calgary Veterans Services Society with food and other donations that are collected at the warehouse, or from our donation boxes located across the city. For closest drop point please call 403-277-8387.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During the recent passing of my beautiful wife, Veterans Food Bank Calgary (Allen & Roger especially) have been so kind not only offering not only food if I needed, but also personal assistance. These two men even came to visit & just talked with me when I needed. My lovely lady is my world, now devastated...it's comforting to know that not only as Vet but a Biker (who the Legion now shuns) still has Brothers to watch my back & who truly care, no judgements, no distinctions. Just Vets & Vet Supporters there for us unconditionally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So great to see a group step up to help so quickly, especially after the unfortunate business with the Legion. Not sure why some other reviewers would think only Vets can (should?) help Vets, I think it's great whenever anyone helps fellow human beings. Listening is a great way to learn what the other person needs, then help them find the right resources. That said, I've met several Veterans working for this group, so again, not sure what that reviewer is on about. If you know someone who needs help, or want to donate, I highly recommend this group.
