Came here on a cold, windy afternoon recently; almost missed seeing the entrance as I walked by on Yonge Street. Wanted soup and they had a soup of the day. That's what caught my eye. The server, Alisha, was friendly and attentive. I ordered the soup of the day - cream of broccoli - and can honestly say it's the best I've had in a very long time. No corn starch or other thickeners used here; it was creamy with real cream and a wonderful flavour of broccoli and herbs. It was also pleasantly hot enough to blow on, but thin enough to cool slightly as I ate. I also had the apple/brie/kale salad. The salad came topped with a house dressing that had a slight sweetness to it, just enough to offset the kale's bitterness. Overall, a pleasure. The interior has lots of wood and interesting items on the walls. I'll be back, maybe for the French onion soup next time.

Went for some beers and ended up grabbing some wings. The wings were really good, nice and crispy skin. The beers were also good and our server was nice too! It was a good place to grab a beer and watch some hockey. Very clean too!

Great Scott! Boy does this place have a great Scott; amongst many other amazing staff members. They let me play Taylor Swift while I'm drunk, and only mildly judge my outfit choices. I love it here.

Pretty good pub. Good food but the beer selection could use more variety. It’s a neighborhood pub so mostly just locals. Good number of TVs for watching a game but not very popular or loud. Mostly older crowd.

Came here for the first time since the pandemic with a friend, I'd been here a few times prior and it has consistently had friendly staff. I was disappointed to see the shepherd's pie was off the menu as I really enjoyed it last time, but I got the penne vodka and was pleasantly surprised it was very good. They have a new chef and the wings have been improved from the last time I was here. It's a nice place, they sometimes have live music which is nice if you want a livelier environment, but if you want a quieter experience would recommend coming earlier in the day.

The Uptown is a great after work spot. Walking distance (5 minutes) from Lawrence Subway Station and Green P parking out front after 6 p.m. Inviting vibe; nice bar at the front and friendly attentive service. Jennifer our server was fantastic. We had the wings special at $11 per with a couple of different sauces. Both were great. Beau's on tap (our favourite) and a good selection of other beers. Friendly casual conversations around the bar. We were impressed!
