The Rimrock Resort Hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights in February 2022. The customer service I experienced at check in and at hotels restaurants went well beyond anything I have experienced. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable. Either the bed reached the end of its life or all the beds are extremely soft. Upon request for better pillows we were told all the pillows were the same. Disappointing considering the price per night. Most hotels I have stayed at have an assortment of pillows, this is a first where it was an issue. If you can bring your own pillow I will highly recommend doing so. Upon check out, staff seemed apologetic regarding the horrible bed and pillows, however there was no follow up after the fact. Even had to buy tylonal in order to get home. I was also sent an email to write a review which I did and recently saw my review on hotels.com was deleted. This speaks volumes. Also went to the spa for a couple's massage. The massage was great. Unfortunately another guest's hair was stuck too the chair in the waiting area which was kind of off putting. Upon completion of spa treatment we were hoping to use the hot tub. Another disappointment as it was at capacity due to COVID restrictions. You would think a spa guest would have priority access after spending over $400. In conclusion, hotel is beautiful, food is excellent, views are excellent, hotel is clean minus the one incident at spa, in general customer service was great. Location requires a car which can be inconvenient. Can't say I will ever return or recommend.

The room was outstanding, it a lot of space, the view wonderful, and the bed was perfect. The service was always done with a smile and a warm greeting. We always felt welcomed. Three restaurants and food was great. The location was great, just a short bus ride to town.

Everything at this resort is 5 star from check in to check out. The accommodations are wonderful and the views are priceless! Our family of 4 stayed in a Premium room with mountain view and it was spectacular. Everyone, from the bellman to the concierge to waitstaff were extremely concerned with our satisfaction. Customer care was amazing! We dined at the Primrose on site and the food and drinks were amazing. The hotel is located within a short walk of both the Gondola and Hot springs and a free shuttle is available to take hotel guests into Banff.

Beautiful hotel. Probably the most luxurious one I’ve ever stayed in. We upgraded for an additional charge to a mountain view king bed room. It was very nice. I will say the one thing I was left feeling a little dissatisfied by was the breakfast buffet at the Primrose dining hall. Very basic and honesty I could have made better at home myself. I did like the larkspur lounge — we went there for snacks and drinks. Nachos were great. The staff at the hotel are so polite and go above and beyond for customer service.

Amazing stay from start to finish !! I have only positive things to say! From when we first showed up to when we left it was a delightful stay. The front desk staff and valet were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The food was delicious (in room dining and restaurants) and service was always prompt. We will be sure to return and look forward to our next stay !

My partner and I stayed for only one night to celebrate her birthday. I've stayed at the Rimrock before and always found it to be a very nice hotel. This time, I was a bit disappointed. First, when we arrived, there was a car in front of us and a car behind. There were multiple attendants available to serve everyone. Someone was helping the car in front of us with their luggage, but when we pulled up, two attendants raced past our car (a lowly Acura) to help the car behind us (a sporty Bentley) with their luggage. It was actual comical (and a bit tacky) how obvious it was that they wanted to help the rich (big tippers). We didn't need any help, but it was pretty off-putting to be completely ignored. We booked a standard room, which was supposed to come with a mountain view. Our room was directly above the hotel entrance with a roadway and the drop-off circle right out the window. Definitely not the view I had in mind when I booked this birthday treat for my partner. I would not spend $450 per night again for a view like that. On the plus side, the spa services were great and Eden was, as always, fantastic. The room is also spacious (much more so than the Springs) and the bed is comfortable.

The service from staff was over the top excellent. View from the room was lovely. Hotel was decorated for Christmas and the food was pretty good (breakfast buffet especially). Less than ideal: Few outdoor spaces during a pandemic is too bad. (The back deck was covered in snow.) We would have liked to sit by a fire and visit with others outside of our immediate family. And no walking paths from the hotel to anywhere. Bathrooms a bit dated. Too warm in the room. Thermostat only goes down to 18.5C but it felt like 21C or so. A bit hard to sleep if you like it cool. But otherwise truly a gem. Again, the staff was wonderful. So gracious.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Our stay was wonderfully stress free from the moment we arrived to be greeted by the valet. Our room was quiet with a nice view of the mountains. The food (both catered and in the Primrose)was great but what really stood out was how wonderful the staff was. They made everything perfect while still being engaging and personable. I felt very well taken care of.
