Banff Gondola

Really great views and really great food if you eat in the Sky Restaurant Buffet. Food was really good as long as you get the food that looks fresh. Gondola ride was super short, only about 8 minutes so I think the price was high. Once at the top though there’s lots to do like shop and read more about the area. On the roof/sky deck there’s also little fire pits and an igloo that’s heated that you go in and warm up. I really loved it here and definitely worth seeing it once.

We visited in July 2020 and had the most fantastic experience. The beauty and the hospitality were top-notch. I'm luxury hotel trained in customer service, and the crew at this tourist attraction were some of the most kind and hospitable people I've ever met! They really did care about those they interacted with. It was outstanding the experience. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Banff! Highly recommended when in the area!

I visited Banff Gandola with my friends in July 2021. The experience was ok, nothing special. We were expecting to see beautiful views and bit long ride up there. It was very hot end of July and because of some 200 active wild fire in British Columbia at that time, the sky area in Banff was extremely smokey and eyes were burning. Skin had all the rashes and allergy due to direct sun and hot weather. We then went to Sulphur mountain and could not see anything from the peak. Perhaps if the weather was good and sky was clear, we might have enjoyed a bit, but even then there was nothing special to experience ( specially if you have been to Gandolas before). Due to Covid-19 the staff were careful to sanitize the gondola after every ride. Staff were very friendly. Their friendly gesture somewhere took away a little bit of the frustration and irritation that we experienced due to no so good weather. They have a souvenir store and a restaurant when you reach up. There was also a store to grab some soft drinks or ice-creams to cool you down from the heat. That was helpful. I dont think the experience would be any different for banff “gandola ride” if the sky was clear & had some cool breeze as you expect when you reach at some height so I leave my rating as three stars. P.S I don’t know how this location review has picked up the bus stop, ignore it

One of the best rides I’ve ever tried. A bit pricey but definitely worth the money ?, breathtaking view of the mountains.

The Gondola experience was amazing, you could get a good view of the mountains and landscape. Ride to the top lasted about 5 minutes although it felt longer. There is an observation deck at the top which has some nice attractions inside for you to learn more facts about the mountains. There is also a restaurant and at the top of the mountain and a roof top observation deck which was really cool. The ride back also lasted about 5 minutes. The same ticket covers your journey to and back from the Mountains on the Gondola. Ticket prices vary with each season. There is a souvenir shop for getting nice souvenirs on your way out of the Gondola area and kids are allowed on the Gondola too.

We had a fantastic experience at the Banff gondola One word to describe it- safe. They were constantly wiping and sanitizing things and keeping everything spotless. Extremely organized and no huge line ups either. We were blessed with amazing weather which got us some incredible photos too. Only suggestion may be for them to have other reasonable food options available. Overall If you are coming to Banff this is one experience you won’t want to miss!

It’s little expensive but if you are up for great view and trail it’s worth. Clean place. Coffee is great at top as well.

Absolutely loved our trip up the gondola in Banff. The views were breathtaking. The changes in the weather were exciting, and the food in the restaurant was delicious.
