We went there for sunset and to look at the stars (after 10pm) Easy hike but fairly long 11km. 1h 15min to go up and 55min to go down. It's very busy on top, pick your time!

One of the boring hikes which I keep doing every year LOL! :-) That's because the summit view is awesome. One of the great feelings of life when you look at the 360 degrees view of the majestic Rockies. What more does one want? The 2 hour hike up (my best was 1:45 hrs and I heard average is 2 hours one way) has lots of switchbacks that you go through. At one point, you will definitely ask "where the heck is the top?". But as I said above, one you reach the top, you don't feel like going down. Bring your sandwich, pick a spot, sit down and enjoy the silence, the nature, and the mountain vista. You will love it. It gets crowded in the peak summer but that should not stop you from taking this hike. Cheers!

Hiked up here in the spring, very treacherous but a super rewarding hike. Make sure you have ice cleats and water. Also be prepared for steep icy hills and breathtaking views.

Steep and non-stop switchbacks made it a steady grind. Well worth it for the views. Even though it was snowy and couldn't see much for skyline the view of Banff was amazing!

Boring hike. Very dull and repetitive, although easy. 90mins up, 40 down for an intermediate hiker. Might as well take the overpriced gondola if you seek such mediocre views. Once you reach the top you can walk to the peak on a boardwalk. Leaves you with a decent view of surrounding mountains, especially Rundle, which taunts you for being a wimp and not just going there instead. Decent snowpack, traveled frequently. Not too cold in May. Skip this if you care about hiking experience.

Nice hike up Sulphur Mountain. You can take a gondola, but where is the fun in that? Lol. Spectacular views from the top. It does get a bit windy but that was a welcome breeze after the hike up! Coffee shop and plenty of places to relax and explore at the top.

Challenging but enjoyable hike for beginners. There were portions with mud, ice, and snow so prepare accordingly. At a moderate pace, the trail can take around 2 hours to complete and I would recommend taking the gondola down afterwards (half price to going both ways). The views were stunning.

Very well maintained and easy trail to follow. Switch backs all the way up for a gentle steady slope. This is a good winter hike when some of the harder summits are out of reach. Spikes are recommended, but maybe not a necessity. There are several view points along the way, but it is mostly a walk through the trees. The views at the top are very nice. Was very windy at the top so we did not stay long. We recorded 11.3 KM and 710 M of elevation gain.
