The trail is breath taking. Still you are hiking on the side of the mountain, could be scary. So worth it.

Incredible views. A strenuous hike for sure, but worth it. Skip Edith pass altogether (it's completely wooded and has no views), and head for the top.

Very nice trail, steep in some parts. In august finding water along the trail can be challenging. Good boots are a must, since the trail can have a lot of loose gravel. Cory Pass trail continue with Edith Pass trail, see map trail for details.

This is my favourite hike. If you do the cory pass loop clockwise it is a rather intense uphill but worth it at the top and a gentle walk down. Great views, different types of trail, rock(scramble) some forest, open areas.

Great trail! It took us 6 hours to do the loop.

Beautiful hike just off the #1A Highway west of Banff. Very steep for the first few kms, levels out as you approach the Pass. Great place for lunch! Beautiful views! We walked the circuit around the back of Mt Edith. Be prepared for a rocky exit that leads you into a lovely forest trail.

Ascending via Cory Pass and descending via Edith Pass is probably the best option. The first third or so is however very(!) steep and strenuous but definitely worth it. Also one of the most versatile trails I've ever seen.
