★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Prune has been our absolute favourite restaurant since we found it a year ago. Their set menu is so creative and original - and it never fails to please. It is a true experience of deliciousness! But what also keeps us coming back is the staff, who are all so lovely and knowledgeable, and provide the kind of service that is above and beyond that of most other places. Can't wait for them to reopen!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful simple meal with exceptional flavour. Small cozy place, the tables are tight but didn’t feel uncomfortable or invasive. Staff was friendly, attentive and caring. I had The Boiled Chicken dinner than was a soothing bowl of comfort - the smell was intoxicating. Loved every bite. The lemon semifredddo was a perfect end to an memorable dinner. Great place reasonably priced, definitely will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of those places where I've actually preferred to sit on the patio versus inside of the restaurant. The outside atmosphere was incredible as we were seated in front of a beautiful pond which greatly enhanced the overall experience. Service was great, food was delicious, a truly fine dining experience. Definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was beautiful, the wines exceptional, and the service attentive. But inexplicably we were seated in an unpleasant spot overlooking the parking lot. The patio was virtually empty, but when we asked to be moved we were told that the other tables were reserved. We asked a second time, explaining that we had a reservation, and it was my birthday. And finally we were moved to a better table --strings were pulled, we were told-, by someone who was a master of organization- but strangely all those "reserved" tables remained empty for the duration of our meal. I'm glad we insisted on being moved, but the reluctance to seat us at a good table, in favour of some phantom diners, was a blemish on an otherwise excellent meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local ingredients, local restaurants, local menu. It's really great, under same management with the Mercer Kitchen. They only open during spring - summer season. (last open date 2020 was Thanksgivings). Definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous menu using fresh and mostly local ingredients. Can't get better chefs than Randi Rudner and Mike Booth, who are also instructors at the Stratford Chef School. Excellent staff, great wines by the glass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Prune is exceptional in every way!! We had a wonderful dinner for 6 to celebrate our Anniversary. Inventive menus, very delicious, superb service, interesting wines. Every detail was beautiful. Co-Chefs Randi and Mike are fantastic! Definitely go for a special occasion, the 3 course prix fixe option is well worth the price. Thank you!
