D	Daniella Zemlak on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Pioneer is a one-of-a-kind event space. I've hosted three events there recently. One photo mini session, one workshop and one brunch and learn. The space is so versatile that you can plan a breadth of different events, and use their many offerings. The clean walls, modern fixtures and prime location make it a showstopper. Every guest and photographer was so impressed with the space. Mia is extremely accommodating as a venue coordinator and goes above and beyond to ensure your needs are met. The venue is very full service - and for any services they don't provide, they have a list of vendors available at your fingertips. The space is a blank canvas for weddings, photography shoots and workshops. I highly recommend.

Not only was it a beautiful, modern venue to get married in, but they did everything they could to make our day joyful and amazing. We are eternally grateful. We got married in January 2021 amid the peak of the pandemic. Due to our horrific issues working with our original venue (Skyline in Calgary - stay far, far away), we had to start looking for backup venues less than two weeks before our wedding as we weren't being provided with basic info and were being actively misled. As a result, we reached out to Mia at The Pioneer, and within an hour of contact she was giving us a virtual tour of their beautiful space, provided a quote and gave us all the info we needed to put our minds at ease. We explained the situation we were in; they did everything they could to help us and were incredibly flexible. They answered all our questions, provided decor, set up our music, and acted as coordinators for our small ceremony on a very short notice. On our wedding day, we showed up and everything was better than we could have anticipated. Mia was a welcoming host and made sure we were taken care of, and the ceremony went seamlessly. The peace of mind The Pioneer provided with their upfront, transparent and gracious customer service cannot be overlooked. We truly feel The Pioneer saved our wedding. We could not recommend them more highly.

The staff is amazing, so easy to work with, always willing to help and go out of their way to make your event perfect. I had the pleasure of working with Mia for a private event to set up my desserts and she was am absolute gem, so kind, understanding and such a hard worker! I couldn't recommend this space and it's people more!!

The vibes and aesthetic at the venue are stunning and perfect for the modern bride. The venue is versatile, minimalist, and such an amazing canvas to work with. Stephen Ave is the perfect place for bridal portraits, cocktail hour for your guests, and has the best golden hour in downtown Calgary! Mia is a dream to work alongside, and makes her clients feel so at ease when they are at The Pioneer. Our team LOVES this space and would highly recommend putting The Pioneer at the top of your must visit venues!

After we hired our coordinator, Mia worked along side her to make our special day absolutely perfect! Mia was great at working with us to get the day exactly to how we imagined including being flexible with timings, storage and so much more. The space is gorgeous with exposed brick and natural stone. There are 3 floors available which provides plenty of space for dancing, distancing and dining. This gem in the middle of Stephen Ave was an amazing find and is sure to wow your guests.
