★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I understand this bar is under new ownership. Sadly the charm is gone, beer selection has gone pretty commercial with some older nostalgic beers like Old Vienna - if you carry Shawn and Ed’s you should rethink that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New owners and all the charm and character of the much-loved Winking Judge has been scrubbed away. Beer selection is completely uninspiring and it's genuinely sad. Staff is nice but it will not make up for what's been lost - the wallpaper, the sense of coziness, the sense of community. I'm not sure who asked for this (including the terrible pop covers of classic songs on the stereo - good lord) but maybe they'll love it. Everyone else doesn't.
I used to come here every time i was in Hamilton. Won't be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's not the old Winking Judge, obviously. That doesn't mean it's bad. The staff were very kind, the atmosphere was great and it had a couple of interesting beers on tap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unbelievable! I have to say I was definitely surprised, I was not expecting the quality and flavour from a pub. I don't even know where to begin to explain the flavours. The judge deserves this 5 stars. From the time you enter the door you are treated like they want you there. They promptly got us a table and were treated with a smile and drinks were on the way. The apps and or should I say snappetizers were delicious. We had the chickpea dip and the pork belly. For mains the chicken and pork tacos. We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently booked the upstairs for a private party. The manager was wonderful and communicative and very accommodating. Service was excellent. Good tap selection and cocktails. We only had two apps but they were delicious. Really recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We was received pretty well, fast the guy, that I think is the owner sat us in a very good table that was recently vacant. He told us about the drafting beer available, describing each special one, even offer a tasty of a strawberry beer. I chose the usual, larger, but my husband try two kinds. The bartender came and brought our food order and he was very kind as well. The food, some appetizers that is not so common to see around, rib poutine and pork belly, was good. I saw a lot of pretty cocktails been served, but I'm a beer kind, but it really catches the eye!
