IMO this is the best board game store in the city. The staff is all so kind and great to chat to, and the prices at both the cafe and the store are extremely affordable! Wonderful place to sit and try out board games from a well-maintained and diverse library (fee to sit and use the library is only 5 bucks at time of writing.) Also great cafΓ© too if you just want to stop by for good vibes. Just a lovely place and a must try!

The Guild House is an absolute gem! What makes this game store so unique is how seamlessly it bridges the gap between coffee shop, board game cafe, and dedicated game store. It therefore has a little something for just about everyone, and it doesn't go halfsies on any of its parts. You'll find a ton of space and seating to sit and enjoy your coffee or surprisingly robust food menu. You'll discover all sorts of board games from a huge shelf of games to try out (and even rent for a number of days if you'd rather play at home!). You'll even find all the hottest nerdy games like MTG and Warhammer in plenty supply. This is a great place to visit no matter where you fall on the nerd spectrum and I highly recommend bringing your friends and/or family. It's decorated, lit, and arranged with great care and has a warm homey atmosphere. Everyone will find something to love as soon as they step inside!

I have shopped all over the place, from Peterborough to Niagara, and online from Wizkids and Amazon. The Guild House has competitively the best prices, solid delivery, and a really good practice of getting what I am after if they don't already have it.

This friendly neighborhood game and hobby store is excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, large in-house selection, scheduled and recurring community events, a comfy in-house gaming area; the list of pros goes on. Always my first stop looking for board games or table top stuff. They will also do custom orders for you at no extra cost. All in all, top notch service. Would highly recommend.

May2022: One of the best game cafes in the city. The table fee is just $5, a real bargain in this city and for this quality space. Midtown location is pretty accessible by transit from St Clair W or St Clair station and there is street parking. This is a great place to stop by for a quick coffee and snack or to settle down for an hours long gaming session. Nice setting with solid, large wooden tables able to accommodate at least 6 players and most boardgames. The lighting is nicely subdued, but also bright enough to read cards with small print. Friendly customer service and a generally chill vibe. The coffee is good too and I look forward to trying the baked goods and other snacks on future visits.

The Guild House is simply incredible. Not only can you order drinks and food from their cafe, but what they serve is very affordable and very delicious! Not to mention the staff is extremely kind and will help anyone who's looking for the right kind of game. The decor is rustic, inviting and makes you feel at home. Being able to play board games at their tables and enjoy a nice snack or meal is great. They have a wonderful variety of games to play and hundreds of games to purchase on the store floor. If you're into tabletop games like Warhammer, TGH has you covered from models, paint and brushes. If you want to play Warhammer AOS/40K, there's plenty of nice and I mean NICE tables designed with beautiful terrain on their lower level floor. The low cost of $5 to play at a table ALL DAY is just an incredible deal and everyone I've met while playing is so friendly. Did I mention you can order from the cafe and play? I love enjoying a nice latte while destroying my opponent with bolter fire. To be honest, I can praise TGH forever, it's just that great and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to play games and enjoy some good food and beverages. See for yourself and you wont be disappointed. It's a great place for date nights and I can't wait to return. I love The Guild House!!

What a lovely and well thought out boardgame cafe and space! Filled with cool nerdy decor, a great selection of games to play ($5 to sit and enjoy) and buy, and tons of events (D&D, Magic, Games Designer) running throughout the week! They also have a nice selection of empanadas and pizzas, baked goods, coffee, and teas. The empanadas were amazing! Highly recommend checking it out! ?
