The Grand Olympia Hospitality and Convention Centre

We had planned an event here back in October 2021 ! Everything was wonderful from the staff, food, decor etc. They were great with protocols and were very accommodating ! venue was super clean.

This is the second time going to the grand Olympia. Both of my daughters were married there. It was a wonderful experience both times! The staff, Caela, Tyler, and Gary and the service on that night were amazing. Wedding planning is difficult but they made it seem less. The food was absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend having your wedding at Grand Olympia! (As a side note, email return is over a week, after repeated emails requesting follow up) And reception staff although friendly, not forthcoming with information and assistance. I came in the day before the wedding, afternoon time, to bring items for my guest book table, and was told to leave my thngs with her to put in the office, that the staff wasn't here., then literally as she was speaking, the gentleman, Tyler, setting up our room walked past and said 'hi, come bring your things, we are setting up the room" How could she be unaware that staff are onsite getting banquet rooms ready for service the next day? I didn't appreciate the lack of honesty. But as for the day of the event, other main staff, a big thanks to everyone

We had our function today, and everything was great. Food was excellent, staff very professional and organized. Food was hot and fresh. Owner, his son, and everyone else was great there. Highly recommend Grand Olympia for any service. They go out of their way for customers.

Held a Celebration of Life for my late husband at the Grand Olympia. I regretted it. It took many, many tries for phone calls to be returned. Possibly it might have been because of the dollar amount involved? The room itself was nice, table cloths were clean, etc. We requested a breakfast menu, muffins, croissants, fruits, etc. The fruits were fine. The muffins and croissants were from Costco. I was shocked. Who does that? Which organization with such a large footprint in the community would even consider serving their guests oversized muffins and croissants from Costco? They offered me a $189 to compensate (this represents a few additional guests that were not billed). I am sorry Grand Olympia but you have lost me and any potential customers that you might have gained from this event.

Attended an social function here. As we drove and parked in their premises, unable to make out the main entrance. Of the two we tried, none had any welcoming desk nor an personal presence. Similarly for toddlers trolley, no specific arrangements at stairs. We had to disengage and lift all through stairs. Hope they provide amicable solutions. Apart from that the ambiance, halls, staff service was upto the top notch. Indian food dishes presented were just perfect as other dishes presented. A few hours spent in an warm enjoyable environment. Enjoy your turn.

My niece just got married here. The hall for the ceremony wasn't ready. They had to rush to clear it out. The food was only "okay" and for the price you pay for that place it should be way better. The wait staff took her personalized glasses she brought for her bridal party. The hall itself is gorgeous though. The bartender was very nice.

Never thought the place to decided to have my own wedding at I would be rating a 1. The only reason it’s a 1 and not a 0 was because I made sure it was a beautiful day with my husband and with the people that were there. -they are not good at communication, many emails, texts and calls went unanswered a month and a week before my wedding -the staff were very unorganized. No body was there to greet me, we were promised part of our antipasto bar when we arrived and that never came. Mozzarella sticks were given to me while I was in my receiving line (there was definitely not mozzarella sticks on my Italian wedding antipasto bar) -I was promised I would be able to see the room before hand. That was not possible due to their lack of organization -the room was very hot, luckily I was able to ask my amazing photographer to assist on that -their chair lift was broken that week, I asked them many times if it would be fixed and they assured me it would be, it wasn’t. That being said I do not blame grand Olympia for mechanics breaking, I understand that happens but what I do blame them for is that when I confronted a gentleman who said he was the owner that was about 30 about how awful this is as one of my disabled guests had to leave he had a smirk on his face. That is absolutely disgusting. Not to mention that we have still not received any type of apology from grand Olympia and our wedding was over 2 weeks ago. My wedding was still beautiful because my family and friends made it that way. I used to hear great things about grand Olympia, so I am not sure if it is because of new ownership but it is not what you will be signing up for.

We have had our baby shower function in the Niagara hall. Staff was very helpful and also they let us come in day before to do the stage decoration that we wanted to do it by ourselves. I must say that Indian Cuisine was outstanding. Each of our guests enjoyed the food and feedback was awesome. It was very delicious Indian food. Again amazing amazing food which is the major part of any event.
