Our Lakeview wedding was a dream come true! We got married on October 29th 2021, the weather wasn't great but the Lakeview team made our day perfect! The staff was so helpful from start to finish and made it very easy for our vision to come to life. The food was delicious and the venue is stunning. We would highly recommend The Lakeview!

Where do I even begin? To all the "Pandemic Bride & Grooms" out there - do not be turned off by the idea that your wedding won't be perfect with restrictions, especially if you book with The Lakeview by Carmen's. Charlie & Natasha were there for us every step of the way leading up to our big day and Gonia was so wonderful to work with as our Maitre D'. Not only were they SUPER flexible with our package when restrictions changed our plans, they reassured us that no matter what we'd have an amazing day. Turns out, they were right. To give you an idea, our New Year's Eve wedding had the following provincially mandated restrictions: -no dancing -the reception had to be seated with the exception of first dances -no going to the bar for drinks -we needed to be out of the venue by 11pm Sounds like a recipe for a pretty disappointing NYE party right? Wrong! The Lakeview did everything they possibly could to accommodate us and ensure we had the best night. They gave us table service, which turned out to be amazing. Our guests have told us how incredible and quick the service was , saying they never had to wait to order drinks because the staff came around so often to take orders. After the reception ended at 11pm my husband and I, along with several of our guests went outside and rang in the new year complete with music, fireworks and the lake as our backdrop. I truly would not change a thing if given the choice. The location is beautiful. the space is elegant, the food is DELICIOUS and the staff are simply the best I've encountered (and that's saying a lot as I've been to many weddings over the years as a wedding photographer) Their attention to detail and safety made our day as stress free as you can get. We can't thank the Lakeview enough for everything they did. If you are hesitant to book - don't put your life on hold. No one knows what tomorrow will bring, take the plunge and marry the love of your life..and do it with the best in the business - The Lakeview!!

My husband and I were so lucky to have the pleasure of getting married at the lakeview this weekend. We had to postpone our initial wedding date due to the pandemic, and the entire carmen's team were so easy to work with. They allowed us to swap our date without issue, kept open and clear communication with us during the entire process, and answered any of our (many) questions quickly and without hesitation. Charlie and Natasha were so helpful throughout the entire process, and the wedding information package and to-do list kept us on track during the entire planning process (we had NO idea how to plan a wedding beforehand). The venue itself was so beautiful, the décor was wonderful and the view of the sunset over the water during dinner was beautiful. All of our family and friends raved about how delicious the food was, how friendly the staff were, and how absolutely gorgeous the venue was. The DJ was so great, and was so easy going! Our Maître'd Gonia (I am so sorry if I misspelled your name!) Was a dream and made our entire day run smoothly. She kept the groomsmen in line, which was no small task! I have to say that even during the pandemic, we had such a beautiful wedding. For any future brides who may be hesitant about getting married during the pandemic, Carmen's will truly make sure that you have an amazing day. We danced (with masks), had drinks, amazing food, and I could not imagine a better evening. Thank you so much Carmens for giving us such a beautiful night to remember. ♡

We began our wedding journey 2 years ago, fast forward through a pregnancy, pandemic, several postponements and date changes, and we finally arrived at September 4th, 2021. We viewed all of the Carmen's Group venues, but knew the Lakeview was the right choice for us once I met Charlie. Anything on our wish list, Charlie would make it happen. However, with pandemic restrictions, I really wanted an outdoor venue, and sure enough, Charlie and his team made it happen, offering us The Pavilion, which was right on the water surrounded by trees, in such a relaxed setting, it was perfect. So with only 2 months to finally plan our wedding (after restrictions suddenly lifted), we got to work, with Natasha the wedding planner holding our hands (we were clueless), they really took care of almost everything! Helping me through any uncertainties and concerns, offering suggestions, and accommodating almost every single ask. Leading up to the wedding, we met our maitre d', Gonia. Initially, I wasn't sure how to read Gonia, but then I realized...she was focussed, she was passionate. Gonia made our wedding day come together, she ensured everything was flowing smoothly, and didn't miss a beat. I truly loved having Gonia there for us on our wedding day, she has a heart of gold, and is one of the most amazing women I have met. Charlie, Gonia, and the rest of the Lakeview Team - thank you!

Coming from the most indecisive person on the planet… choose The Lakeview. I went back and fourth for months but finally decided to go ahead and book [and I’m so thankful I did!]. Our wedding was everything we wanted & more.

We FINALLY got married at The Lakeview after postponing twice due to COVID! Our wedding felt completely norm thanks to everyone at The Lakeview. Gonia was such a dream to work with on the day of our wedding, we wish she was with us the entire process!! Charlie did everything he could to make sure we were happy throughout the process. We sadly didn't get a tasting but the food didn't disappoint. The venue is stunning and our simple decor perfectly complimented the space.

After postponing from October 2020, we finally had our wedding reception at The Lakeview last month. Even though there were some slight miscommunications after postponing due to the pandemic, the staff, in general, were helpful and organized. Natasha was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. Gonia, our maitre d is one of the sweetest person I have met. She was amazing and so fun to work with. Thanks to her and the other ladies for taking care of us and our guests. They made sure we were all having fun. We didn’t get to do a food tasting but the food was good and the cake was delicious. The venue itself is beautiful and it was the perfect fit for the vibe we were going for - cozy and romantic. And that view is a bonus. Thank you The Lakeview Team!

This is a long overdue review for The Lakeview as our wedding was back in October 2021. We can't thank the staff enough for all the support in making it happen amidst a pandemic. Their flexibility and positive attitudes were so appreciated when planning and they made the day-of event so smooth. A special thanks and shout out to Natasha, Charlie, Jenna and the Chef (Trevor). Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say, especially the location and the food. Thank you to all of you! We will be recommending this venue!
