★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Epicure is amazing and is a Cabbagetown icon for a reason. Their breakfast sandwiches are really delicious and reasonably priced which you consider the quality compared to other places that might be a bit cheaper.
There's also a lot of nice things you can pick up that can be hard to find elsewhere, and generally 100 different things you could give a food lover as a gift.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been here a few times, always for their baked goods. Everything is very tasty and fresh, though on the very sweet side. Today, I discovered bolas (round donut with a custard filling) and I think I've found my go-to treat. It's light, fluffy, soft and not overly sweet, which is my kind of treat! Yes, it's coated in sugar, but the donut and cream itself are not as sweet. The texture is what blew my mind. I bit it as is and it was perfect. I popped the rest in the microwave for 15 sec and had it with milk, unbelievable! I have to check out their other items because there are deli meats, cheese and more. Service is always great and friendly!
