Thanks to the ladies at Drafonfly for such a fun and wonderful experience getting ready for the big day in Gravenhurst. Thank goodness I went to the Muskoka Wedding Show to find them!! My hair and make up was stunning. They took the time to go over different styles before I was completely satisfied. For the trial I went to the salon which has a beautiful decor along with a comfortable and cozy feel. On the wedding day what I loved most is that they came to us so that we could sleep a bit longer and stay in our comfies! We shared lots of laughs and the whole wedding party was taken care of. Alanna did an incredible job with my hair. As a first time mom with an 11 week old at home, I needed something that I could just blow dry and go. She did exactly that, and it looks fantastic! I’ve been looking for such a long time for a hairdresser. So glad I was referred here!

Everyone at the Dragonfly Room are wonderful people, and great hairstylists. I have been going to this salon for years. My stylist is Alanna, who is does an exceptional job every single time I am in. I will never go to another stylist so long as she is working, and I live within a few hours of her! You can't go wrong with this salon, they maintain excellent standards of practice. My wedding party and I had The Dragonfly Room Salon and Spa travel to my home on the day of our wedding. They did all of our hair and makeup and everyone looked beautiful. The ladies were so patient with us when we were asking questions. The results were amazing, I don’t think any of us have ever received so many compliments. Allison and Alanna are a fantastic team and do beautiful work! I hired them back in January 2019, long before our wedding day in October 2020. I wanted a hair and makeup team who were experienced, professional, and talented – and The Dragonfly Room checked all of those boxes. They are very kind and great to work with, and really listened to what I was looking for in my wedding hair and makeup to make sure I felt beautiful on the big day. Of course, COVID-19 had other ideas for 2020 brides and grooms, so we had to pivot our plans! Allison and Alanna were willing to work with us through all the uncertainty of the pandemic, responding to our questions promptly and being flexible as we went through our options – we something sincerely appreciated!! We decided to do a downsized, smaller wedding and they were totally on board. They took the pandemic and health and safety precautions seriously, which my whole group sincerely appreciated! They allowed me to book a hair & makeup trial for not only me, but also for my mom and my sister – both were nervous about getting their hair & makeup professionally done, and both left absolutely loving their looks and feeling confident about the big day. Allison and Alanna are amazing at really listening to their clients and making sure to take care around any insecurities or concerns that their clients have. We had six people getting their hair & makeup done on the morning of the wedding, and every one of them spoke highly of Allison and Alanna's work and said they felt beautiful afterwards! The Dragonfly Room came to us so that we wouldn't have to worry about timing, and Allison and Alanna's warm and friendly attitudes made it honestly just a wonderful way to begin the day. And I got so many compliments on my hair & makeup! I am so happy that I chose Allison and Alanna from The Dragonfly Room to do the hair and makeup for my big day and would highly recommend them to others for their events!! First visit. Salon is lovely. I am always apprehensive about switching to a new salon, but very happy about my choice. Kathy gave me the best haircut I had in years.
