There’s no other school that offers such a hands on experience. It is clear the instructors know what they are doing and provide an immense amount of knowledge that students in similar programs around the country don’t have access to. Tuition is high, however, take one tour of the school and you will realize that it’s necessary. I’ve had an unbelievable experience in my first year attending, and have learned and done things I never thought I’d ever get an opportunity to do. David Lanys and his staff couldn’t be doing a better job.

Not to sound clichΓ©, but attending the College of Sports Media changed my life for the better. It was not only a positive and inspiring school environment, but it also properly equipped me for any situation in the real world. I would suggest this school to anyone looking to break into the industry. The instructors were always helpful and remain as contacts within my life to this day. David Lanys runs the school with kindness and authority. Everything that I have accomplished since graduating this year is due to CSM.

Attending The College of Sports Media was the best decision I’ve made to teach and prepare me for the wonderful world of broadcasting. Without the vital lessons and opportunities I gained from this school and the instructors, I wouldn’t be a television video journalist with CTV today. If you have a passion for broadcast and want to succeed in this industry, this is the school for you.

I'm an alum, class of 2017. 5 years on from graduating and I can still call up my old teachers to get career advice and guidance. CSM taught me both the hard and soft skills I needed to succeed in broadcasting, and their network of contacts has helped me along the way - they're a huge brand in the industry. I'm going to the 2022 Olympics in Beijing and I wouldn't have got there if it wasn't for CSM

If you're fully committed to a career in sports media, this is probably the school for you. This school will give you a ticket into the industry and the tools, resources, and experiences to prove that you belong. Two years ago, I graduated from Queen's University and I was trying to get a job at the bank. A mentor of mine (who worked at the bank!) convinced me to chase my dream of a career in sports media instead. I'm so glad that I did. I will officially graduate from CSM in Fall 2022 with a job in the industry and friendships to last a lifetime. Although this is just the start of my career, I'm confident that I'll look back on my decision to attend CSM as the best decision I ever made!!!

The College of Sports Media is everything you want out of a specialized program and more. The instructors take extra care in your progress to ensure once you've completed your two years, you have all the tools necessary to succeed in whatever career path you choose in sports. Dave, Ray, and every other instructor I thank you for two tremendous years of my life.

This school was truly an incredible experience. Even while spending half of it navigating a global pandemic, the skills, talents, connections and mentors I gained have been extremely worth it. The best part about the school is how similar it is to actually being in the industry. I’ve never felt more prepared walking into a job than I have a few months ago when I got my first television reporting/anchoring job. Employers really are impressed by the amount of skills and knowledge we have just from attending CSM. The above and beyond factor has to be the relationships beyond the last day of school. The teachers truly care about your success and are willing to offer advice and guidance months or even years down the road. The one thing I would advise to you if you’re on the fence about attending CSM is that you really need to be committed and passionate to thrive in this competitive industry, so make sure it is exactly what you want to do. My life would not be the same if I didn’t attend this school and I’m very happy that I did.

My time at The College of Sports Media was an incredible experience. The instructors are some of the most knowledgeable in the industry, and the hands-on learning opportunities are second to none. I knew upon graduation that I was prepared for whatever came my way. There’s no better place to start a career in broadcasting than CSM!
