I was a little disappointed with today's visit. I didn't bring the family with me for the food run because with the current COVID-19 restrictions there is no in restaurant seating. When I ordered my food I wasn't able to add the kids eat free meals. I've done this in the past without issue so I didn't give it a second thought. I didn't argue because the sign clearly states the children must be present. I paid for the food, snickering at the tip option (normally I tip without any above and beyond service). Unfortunately from now on when thinking about what's for dinner Chopped Leaf might not make the list. On a side note the food was delicious, as always.

Being lazy like I am, I like to not pack a lunch. So I eat out pretty often for lunch. Since I was recently diagnosed as diabetic, I have become a lot more cagey on what food makes it to my stomach. I work nearby The Chopped Leaf so, as I was getting tired of my existing options, I decided it was time for something new. They don't specifically cater to diabetic people, but I had a look at their nutrition guide. This one listed sugars and carbs. A pleasant surprise. I was able to pre-pick out what I was going to have. Cut to walking into the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly looking guy behind the counter who was able to guide me through the ordering process. I ended up with what amounted to a bucket of salad and a really big soup. Be warned, dear reader when they say large, they mean large. The soup was some kind of Thai concoction with a pleasant curry flavour. It was smooth and hot. It even came with croutons, but I'm not supposed to eat those because flour is carb, carb is sugar. I ate them anyway. The salad thing was quite nice and flavourful in spite of the low carb count on the menu. There was lettuce, tomatoes, boiled egg, bacon bits and avocado all in some sort of light white sauce. I couldn't finish it. I did find a chunk of paper in the salad, but I caught it before it got to my mouth. I'm sure it was just wrapping from one of the ingredients. No harm done. All in all, this was an expensive meal. Note to self, don't get soup and salad. Or at least the large soup with salad - this isn't Press'd. Deducted a star for the price - not a reflection on the restaurant. The food is quite good. I will probably be back.

First time eating there food was today. The server assisted me by explaining the dishes. I had a salad that had edamame beans and added chicken. Oh it was goood! I will definitely go back

My family & I enjoy the food from Chopped Leaf. Our children typically go for the grilled cheese, which is on a nice artisan seeded bread. We typicality get either the Idol or Nutty stuffed cups, sometimes with chicken. The goddess dressing is our absolute favourite though as it's so tasty and delicious! This location was extremely clean & tidy, and the staff were very helpful in providing suggestions on items to try out.

A number six with tofu is pretty amazing. Excellent place to go eat in Fort Saskatchewan. Fresh crisp ingredients served at a good temperature.
