The Canadian Brewhouse (Calgary Northgate)

Went to a fundraiser at this location. Service from our server was dismal. She seemed to have two sections that were opposite ends of the place. Hard to get food and drinks. The beef dip au jus was really salty but couldn't get servers attention so just didn't use it. Finally asked the server next table to get our bill so we could leave. Would not make the drive to this location for a meal.

This was my first visit, and I must say the waitresses were very accommodating. The website said it wasn't sold out for Lobster Fest, so I called to book a reservation which they provided, although back to the website, after attempting to check out with the ticket, it said the sale was over, but didn't explicitly say it was sold out unlike other locations... I called the restaurant back and they said I would be able to buy the ticket at the restaurant no problem. That made me super happy as I was looking forward to trying it. The meal was great, Lobster seemed just a tad bit over-cooked (a little chewy) but all in all, it was a fun experience and I'd recommend others giving them a try. We already have our Cheese Wheel Pasta Night tickets booked for November as I'm REALLY looking forward to that one. The Salt and Vinegar Potato wedges were the star of the show though, as they were soft like mashed potatoes inside, with just the right amount of seasoning, and a perfect level of slight crispiness on the outside, super addictive. Now for the one negative of my visit, which is why I've rated it 4 instead of 5 stars... The Mac and Cheese that came with the Lobster Fest was sprinkled with chili flakes. No where in the menu, or advertisement does it mention this, so it wasn't something I even thought about asking if they could leave it out before ordering, due to having a severe reaction to anything hotter than a bell pepper, I physically can't handle anything with capsaicin without severe issues immediately after eating, so besides trying a single piece of macaroni, I don't believe chili flakes should be automatically provided, and instead should be something provided at the table if requested (or listed on the menu, Mac and Cheese with Chili Flakes). If this kind of thing could be provided at the point of ordering, it would go leaps and bounds further for me, so I honestly can't give an accurate review as I couldn't eat it without risking severe abdominal pain unfortunately. Everything else was good though! Thanks for the otherwise nice evening! Definitely looking forward to Cheese Wheel Pasta Night, hopefully sans chili flakes!

I would not recommend anyone order takeout from this restaurant, be it skip the dishes or directly. They completely left out additional dips and any cutlery that I ordered, and the sour cream had a hair in it. I'm throwing the rest of my order out as I'm concerned about the hygiene and cleanliness of this restaurant.

Bartender Danica was amazing! Made everything prefect! I have a serious food allergy and she pointed out what would be safe for me! Great service and great food at a decent price! Definitely worth the drive!

Place is nice ! Its new , clean and good ! Food is ok and the staff are nice 5 stars ,⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like the North location better but this one has better parking. This one has a open main area layout so feels like a small "Shanks sports pub", whereas the other location feels more lively but cosy and warmer. Food is reliable comfort food. Service was friendly. Server was working alone so understandably things were alittle slow and a couple items were missed. But she had them rushed for us as soon as we asked. Great deal on wine. Lots of TVs at every angle for catching whatever sport you're into. For viewing sports, I'd say this location would be better.

We went for lunch and Brett was our server we got amazing service. Very friendly, knew the menu very informative.

Been here 3 times and the food and service are always great! Love this place
