The Body Shop - Calgary

This body shop is by far one of the best places to shop! The women in here are phenomenal. They go above and beyond for their guests and the product knowledge is outstanding! BIG Thank You, to Michelle for her charisma and humour!

I went to the Body Shop in Southcentre this morning (May 11 2018, 9:30am) after a friend had recommended I check out their makeup line. I came armed with a number of facial skin issues, including redness, blemishes, and extremely oily skin. I’ve tried so many different products that claim to reduce redness, and help oily skin, but all my attempts have failed. I’m getting married in August and at my wit’s end to find something that works. I never caught her name, I hope the fact that I left the date and time will help whatever district leader who reads this, to recognize the wonderful woman who helped me today! She spent a lot of time getting to know my concerns and what I wish to achieve—from my current skin care regime, what I like about the products I currently use, and what I struggle with. She introduced me to the Tea Tree Oil line, and also helped be find a mattifying foundation that matches my skin tone. I spent way more money than I had set out to spend, but I didn’t feel like I was duped into buying more than I needed—her recommendations were tailored to fit my needs. I felt good about my purchase and excited to try the new products. She informed me that if at any time I was unhappy with the products, I could come back for refund or exchange, because they stand behind their products. I’ve already tried ALL the products I’ve purchase and my skin feels AMAZING! I really hope it will help with the redness, she told me to be patient—give it three weeks. It’s SO refreshing to encounter someone who is passionate about their job, knowledgeable, and happy to help. Customer service is HARD (I’ve worked it!), and I can tell she is very dedicated to what she does, and passionate about helping the customer find solutions to their needs! THANK YOU!

I purchase from the body shop all the time. The products are the best I have found for my purposes. I use the hemp line of creams most and they are great. Service is very good and they have good offers and sales. It is one of the few places where a membership card had value.

I haven't been in a Body Shop in over a decade. I noticed by walking by how much had changed. Immediately greeted in a very friendly and non-pressure way. Well I had no intention to buy anything but within minutes she had me trying things and answering all my questions. She was super informed and delightful. I walked out with six products, samples,and a member card. What a sales woman! She knew the lines and how they would meet needs. Such a gem. Give her a raise: Regina. So thankful for her help today!

When I went to enter the store I noticed that the front display for the store is pride themed to celebrate pride month. Which is why it was very confusing that within seconds of entering the store with my transgender brother one of the employees said, loud enough for the other costumers and employees to hear, "Hello ladies!". This situation is an extremely uncomfortable position to shove someone who is transgender in because they either have to correct a stranger or continue to have their identity dismissed. I'm sure the employee did not mean to hurt my brother by her words but the fact of the matter is that she did. So if this store continues to have a pride display and claim to be accepting on their store front than the employees need to be retrained to actually portray that acceptance. I've worked in retail and there is zero reason to mention gender when speaking to costumers and someone's gender may appear """obvious"'"" but the fact of the matter is you just do not know. Train and teach your employees that or get rid of the display. Simple as that.

The lady at the Store who is Jind is so amazing and super super friendly. Recommend so many products that suited best for me and my friend. Amazing ? personality

I've been thinking a lot about posting this. I never had a bad experience up until 2 weeks before Xmas. I went in for vitamin e cream to help with my dry skin. When I went to pay the sales women took the cream out of my hand and got a different one saying I need the night one instead and I never really thought about it. She then pushed me to get another cream since they were on for 12 something but I only wanted my one and had to say I'm good 2xs for her to stop pushing me. When I went to pay she told her sales associate that I was rude, stared at me and went to the back, not once was I rude and I have sunglasses on due to a concussion and sensitivity to light due to it. I was honestly shocked and now I'm breaking out due to this cream when before I has the day cream and this never happened. She had dirty blonde hair, taller and very forward. I don't know if I'll ever shop here again.
