★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been here many times, the food has always been fresh. We were a group of 4 last night and again the food was fantastic. My favorite is the spicy chopped scallop cone. One of the best in Vancouver. Decor is not the greatest but the food is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered 3 items including their combo of 2 items. Liked the choices! I chose the chopped scallop roll and spicy salmon sashimi. The sashimi had a good kick to it. Their Tentatsu Gyoza had 6 pieces, no issues with them. We waited a while for the Chicken Yakisoba to arrive and had to ask the wait staff about it. They later came back and told us it would be a couple of minutes. We figured they had forgotten to make it, as it arrived close to 5 minutes later piping hot. Restaurants will never say if there's some delay with the order if their fault. That being said, it was tasty and the chicken pieces were generous!
Felt safe inside, due to additional plastic sheets used to further divide booths and protect patrons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be honest, we were originally intending to visit Anton's next door, however, the lineup was insane and I had heard of Tentatsu Japanese Restaurant and had been meaning to visit it for quite some time. This was the best opportunity to do so. Their menu featured so many different things that right away we knew we would need to come back here sometime again in the future. For now, we decided to try out one of our favourite menu items at any Japanese restaurant that serves it, Okonomiyaki. Truthfully, it was the most subpar Okonomiyaki we've had as it contained mostly batter rather than cabbage. It still tasted good though. Overall, I would recommend this place as somewhere to go if you are too impatient to wait for the Anton's lineup. Good second choice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time visit here. Love the spicy salmon sashimi so much!! The salmon was so fresh and tasty. The seafood pancake was good as well. Will come back again for the spicy salmon sashimi lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was in the neighborhood, so decided to get some take-out. I was in rush so only ordered something I thought should be easy to make...I ended up wait for 30 minutes..(I was the only customer in the restaurant)...In fact I saw the food was ready about 15 mins after I placed the order. But nobody checked, and nobody in the front that I can speak or reminding till another 15 mins.
The food was fine. Not bad. The slices are super thick. Definitely not Japanese at all.
