While I do agree and sympathize with all the 1 star reviews listed here (I also previously gave them a 1 star review about a year ago for ridiculous wait times and being unreachable), I just called and got a new vehicle added to my policy with the entire process completed in under 8 minutes total (including wait times). Not sure if something changed on their customer service end or if I just got super lucky but that whole process was seamless.

Switched insurance providers for vehicles and houses. TD was charging me $6,000 annually. New provider charges $4,000 for same insurance. After I cancelled my insurance with TD, they still withdrew $2,000 from me the following month, held the money for one month so they could make investment income off it, then returned it a month later. There was an additional $1,350 they held onto for a while before returning it. Another story of their crookedness - when my grandmother died, TD bank froze her assets and refused to release them to the family. However, they offered to loan the family money (so TD could charge us interest). I will never do business with them again.

I had horrible experiences with trainee's that made me want to run to any other insurance company. But I called back and a goddess fixed everything in minuets. So I don't know what to say. At this point I am very happy.

Td insurance is a worst insurance.i had a car accident . Its been over a month and they had still not provided the rental car which they promised.Also the investigator Nicole Boon is very rude . One of td manager told me he will call me on monday but never called. I called him today to ask about my claim and he said he need 24hours more . #Never #buy #td insurance….

This year my combined home and auto insurance rates went up drastically, with a company I had been dealing with for 30 years. I called TD in hopes of a better rate. Porsha was fantastic, and found me a rate that was over $1500 less for better coverage! Being a TD client, and NAIT graduate certainly helped. Porsha was friendly, very professional and knowledgeable beyond compare! During these tough times, it was a huge relief!

I've paid premium rates over the past 10 years and now that I finally need them they won't call me back regarding my claim. I keep getting transferred to another rep who can't help me or put on hold when I do finally get through to a human. I've submitted an escalation ticket with my supposed rep to have their supervisor call me back as I was dealt with in an unprofessional manner and they haven't even called me back. I liked dealing with TD over the past 10 years, but now that we hit black ice and have a claim, they have become the most unprofessional company to deal with. I will be looking elsewhere for insurance after this.

TD insurance just took over $2000 out of my bank account in a β€œsystem error” and I am being told I have to wait 4-5 business days for my money back. I now have NSF fees and can’t afford to pay for gas to get to work or food to eat - possibly longer than the weekend! This is their error and I’m paying for it. The issues that are coming up due to this β€œinconvenience” is too much to put in a review, but in short I am the one who has to pay the price. Absolutely unacceptable.

In summary, TD messed up on multiple occasions and have done nothing to correct it. Because of their mistakes, we will be out of pocket hundreds of dollars, or have our policy cancelled due to their ineptitude. For years, we’ve been loyal customers of both home and auto insurance. Service was always excellent. However, after moving a few years ago, we called to update address and banking information. They failed to update records which resulted in missed payment. We called again to arrange payment and to ask again to update banking info. The account details provided by agent was incorrect and payment did not get applied to our TD account, although it was debited from our bank. This was nearly 3 years ago and we have been calling and trying to get this resolved. TD said they returned the funds to our bank, but we did not receive them. Each time we call, they tell us it’s our problem and we need to deal with the bank. When we call our bank, we get nowhere.
