Whoever schedules staff has been scheduling fewer and fewer staff to the point that it's a skeleton crew. I struggled to find something but they only have a few staff, most of which end up busy with the tills. So if you need assistance you have to wait a long time or go somewhere else. I'd rate it lower but it's not the staffs fault that the manager is scheduling so few people.

no real customer service. staff look ragged and run down, rarely get greeted and if I do it's never with a smile. ... As a seasoned retail worker (and I have managed a few places) it speaks a volumes about how the business is managed.

One of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I've had in a while. This is the Shopper's closest to my university but not my local. I won't be going back. I came in the store to use the post office and purchased some snacks. On my way out I noticed all the cosmetic gift sets and came back in for Christmas shopping. I'm very particular when I buy cosmetics, so if it's a product I'm not familiar with I pull out my phone and look at customer reviews before buying. Apparently that makes me very suspicious? I already had a friendly staff member ask me if I needed assistance. Soon after I found gift set I'm interested in, so I read up on the products. The store was fairly busy, but out of every one in the store I guess I looked like the biggest shop lifter present because security stood over me the entire time. I stood there longer than 5 minutes and security never budged. They didn't even hide what they were doing. It made me very anxious about if what I was doing warranted being treated like a criminal. I already bought something. I had a purchase from another store. If they didn't want me on my phone in their store they should say something, because it felt very intimidating. I got so fed up I told a woman in the cosmetics department and she directed me to the store manager. I understand that it's City Center. I also understand that stores need to take loss prevention seriously. But regardless it should not come at the cost of the shopping experience. I'll stick to my local store, they've never made me feel unwanted.

I purchased Wicked Driftr Wireless earbuds from this store on Dec 6. I brought them home and they do not work at all. I then tried troubleshooting online and learned these earbuds are known to be defective. I returned today and was told by the manager that since they were on sale and the packaging had been opened they could not be returned or exchanged. I'm sorry, but how could I have found out they are defective without opening the packaging!!!??? I was told that I would have to contact the manufacturer myself to have the matter resolved. Am I crazy or has customer service begun a massive decline????? I believe shoppers drug mart should be the one to inform the manufacturer the item I'd defective and provide me with a working alternative. Now I am $26 out of pocket and will have to embark on a long struggle to either have the earbuds replaced or my hard earned money returned. I AM NOT impressed, nect time I will buy from Amazon who has a wonderful return policy and they strive for amazing customer satisfaction. If stores want us to turn to online shopping only, then it sure is working, I have never experienced such poor customer "assistance", ever. It's absolutely ridiculous. Ms. Manager, don't forget that if you don't have customers to buy from the store, your employment is no longer required either. My advice to anyone looking to purchase here- go to Amazon instead!

I work in the Oxford tower so coming to this Shoppers Drug Mart location is convenient, it’s right next door. Shoppers Drug Mart is owed by Loblaws which is Superstore so all the same stuff is here but at a better price at Superstore. So use this store sparingly and get better prices at Superstore. Are they overpriced, yes but if you watch for the sales and use the Optimum loyalty card you will get good prices and collect a lot of points that can be used to buy things in the store or at Superstore. When staff is available they are friendly and courteous. Since this store is in the Edmonton City Centre Mall there is no washrooms in the store. There is 2 floors of store and entrances inside and outside. I guess the store is like a really large 7-11 a convenience store with a pharmacy.

Worst customer service I've ever had in my life! They sold me spoiled frozen food and when I tried to return it, they told me they couldn't do anything about it! I tried calling in, talking to online support, and tried seeing the manager, but the staff everywhere was extremely rude and laughed in my face. This place has gone downhill over the past few years. Go absolutely anywhere else, anywhere but this wretched place.

I generally have a great experience with the staff at this location. They are always quite friendly and helpful. Athena in the cosmetics department is a delight! She offers prompt assistance and is friendly while keeping a light presence but not hovering. Update few days later: beauty manager Erinn is so awesome as well. She made some great product reccomendations that I am super happy with and was prompt to refund me the next day when I was accidentally charged twice for something and even added in a little free gift:) The cosmetics department here is overall a win. City centre sucks to work in so props to all of y'all ❀️
