S	Starry Fest on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a waste of my money. This food isn't fresh and they are trying to blame it on the cook? Nope, not coming here again. Screw that. Always check the reviews before going to a restaurant. Edit: price was reduced due to the disappointment. Ice cream was good on the other hand and fresh ice water.

There's a wide range of dishes available - more than one can try in one visit. Most were good to decent; only one dish was regrettable on account of quality. The buffet dishes were frequently topped up around 6-7 pm, so the food tended to be fresh. Overall, I enjoyed it. Good: • Beef & veggies in pepper sauce • Chop Suey vegetables • Deep fried prawns • Chicken wings • Shrimp & squid • Cake & ice cream desserts Regrets: • Muscles

Also ordered it to be delivered and the order was cancelled & then they were closed - weren’t notified till 1.5 hours later. super disappointed.
J	Julie S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So the reviews for this place are pretty divisive and I think that has to do with 2 things: 1) the day/time you go and 2) your expectations for the quality of Chinese food. I came with a few people on a weekend during peak dinner hour and the restaurant was full of people. So the food was fresh and refilled frequently and there was a large variety. I imagine if you came during low peak times the food likely will be sitting out for longer and not replaced as often. The Chinese food served here is westernized Chinese food (i.e. sweet and sour pork, sesame chicken, etc.), the type you're to find at those "two items + rice" places in mall food courts. That's the quality standard I expected of this place so I was not disappointed. For the type of Chinese food served, it was good. One complaint I have is the ice cream bar. The ice cream is in giant containers that people can scoop themselves but people often don't use different scoops for different flavors so a lot of the ice cream containers have other ice creams in them.

They are no longer a buffet but a restaurant now, because the pandemic forced them to change the way they are organized. The food is great. Lily, the owner, is such a great host. She wants to make sure that you are happy there. She even remembered what I ordered for a drink a week ago. Very good food and very nice hosts. Whenever I will visit Kamloops I will go there to eat. The location is also very convenient, just off the highway, in the hotel area.
