The Tamarack campground was so worth the drive from London, Ontario! You can expect a lot of privacy here and the interactions we had with other campers were very friendly. If you're staying on a campsite adjacent to the lake, you'll have easy access to a beautiful sunset and a convenient trail to the Grotto. Word of advice for cyclists: most people hike to the Grotto as there are no places to secure your bike. If you're fine with leaving your bike unsecured, be advised that you'll be encountering a lot of hikers, so bike carefully. A few negatives at this campground: the bathrooms were often out of order, there are no showers (I recommend Roxie's for showers which is just outside the park, though they aren't always open), and the park did not have any firewood for sale for two of the days we were here (it can be bought along Highway 6 from private sellers or from Roxie's).

Super clean and super quiet campground. Pros : + very clean washrooms + good overall privacy + very super quiet (way more than average) + close to trail and lake .. Cons : - Our campsite was covered with gravel and dust - Firepit sucks - national park rangers are nazis (chill out dude, we're on vacation) - No showers

This is a great campground. Lots of shade tons of trees. Decent amount of privacy. If you really want to see thr grotto I heavily suggest getting a campsite here instead of praying for a parking spot.

I spend 4 nights and 5 days there, this passed week . First no showers was available, the washroom at the main station was closed it said for maintaining, it never opened the the times we were there. Just the ones at the entrance to Cyprus lake. I was disappointed being my first visit there. The day we arrived, after setting up our tents and getting ready to sit down for dinner, a staff member came by and ask us to move our car we did have 2 cars on the lot. We were going to move it after to the reserved parking area . We had items to put in the car before bed time as it is Bear Camp ground. We comply with their request. Few days later prior to checking out most of the camping areas were empty. We woke up and starting packing up to leave . We took a few minutes to pause for breakfast as it was getting cold after it was prepared ,plus we had 2 younger kids with us they needed to eat before we leave for our 3 1/2 hours drive. A staff member came and he ask are you checking out today we replied yes ,his answer was well you're half an hour behind. The staff there are not very polite, pleasant or kind just rude. I've inconvenienced myself for 4 days with no washroom and no shower all we needed was a little courtesy. It was really far fetched by the employees . Please look into this behavior and modify it . Treat others the way you want to be treated. I will not recommend camping there, if this is not fixed , I will continue to look at all reviews. I will inform friend and others to go for the day and enjoy the wonderful sites there Grotto , Bruce's Trail etc.

The campground is very clean and enjoyable overall. Our site was big enough for 2 tents, and close to water tap and vault toilet. Each site has a fire pit and 2 picnic tables, which I liked. The trees are tall and dense around the camp site, so there's plenty of shades, but it was difficult to find an area to hang the tarp. There is no grass on the ground, which makes sleeping a bit uncomfortable, so I'd recommend bringing an extra sleeping bag to use as mattress. Besides a few chipmunks and squirrels, there weren't many other animals, which to me is a plus because while I like them I don't want to deal with them. The staff told everyone here to keep everything - food, containers, etc. - in the car as they might attract bears.

Easy access to trails and washroom was awesome for just a compost toilet and sink. Staff patrolled area to make sure people were keeping a bare campsite. Our neighbours didn't listen and unfortunately had a bear visit their campsite. They were very disrespectful of the rules and were loud at 230 am. When staff were contacted to be told of bear and kids I was hung up on. HOWEVER this did not ruin our experience. Our campsite was bare so the bear went right around us. The campsites are widely spaced so you have enough privacy to get away from the distractors. The back of Our campsite was heavily wooded which was very nice. Our campsite was large and allowed 3 structures and a vehicle. We stayed at campsite 250. Close to Cyprus lake for swimming and canoe rentals and Cyprus lake trail connects to all the other trails that lead to the main attractions of the park. I will go back :) firewood and ice are provided at cost at check-in.

Great camp ground, sites are spacious and distance between sites makes it feel a little more secluded. The site we had, 228, was very close to the lake and the trail that takes you to the Grotto in about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Good sized fire pit and a grill to put over the top if you want to cook over the fire. Two picnic tables and a good space for two, maybe even three 3 man tents. The toilets we're interesting in that they were composting, but had a flash system that stopped the smell coming back up.

The campground is noisy on the weekend but really tranquil Sunday to Thursday. Nearby Cypress Lake is perfect for a swim! Washrooms were clean. Buy firewood from the folks who live near the park. They advertise at the end of their driveways along highway 6. The wood sold at the campground is wet/green. Ice can be bought at the campground if you need more throughout your stay. Consider hiking to stormhaven or halfway log dump instead of the grotto, which is cool but really crowded.
