★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have never been treated as poorly as I was here tonight. I walked in and said hello to the waitress standing across the room. She completely ignored me so I sat myself down. A couple other customers (whom were Asian) came in and the waitress greeted and seated. The waitress then brought me a menu and I asked for another as I was meeting a friend there. The waitress did not bring another one. My friend was 30 mins late so I just sat and waited. The waitress never came over once and asked if I wanted anything. After we finally ordered I asked for a fork. The waitress did not bring a fork. Finally my friend (whom is Japanese) asked for a fork and she brought us one. At the end we asked for the bill to be split. The waitress just brought one bill and told us to each pay half of it. My order only came to $18 but the bill was $56 so I paid $28...worst restaurant experience I've ever had and do not recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service is nice and friendly which earns most of the credits. The flavour and seasoning is acceptable but not satisfying based on its price. And rice is too much in the sushi. The BBQ and sashimi is ok if you are looking for sides of a beer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my favourite Japanese restaurant close to UBC. The food is very authentic and the service is wonderful. The menu is quite comprehensive and will satisfy anyone who has a hankering for traditional Japanese food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place had without a doubt the worst customer service and overall care for customers I have seen in a long time. We didn't get to order for 20 minutes after we sat out. They then took over 40 minutes to bring out the first round of food. One member in our party had to wait over an hour for two rolls of sushi. In all this time, my table's waters and teas were refilled just once. Would not recommend if you value your time or would like acceptable service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a nice little gem! It’s a family owned restaurant, owned by a Japanese family. They have very quality bluefin tuna (not always available) and uni from Japan! It is a bit pricey but that is expected from a place that has high quality sashimi. They will also accommodate to special requests not on the menu such as asking for an uni don!

- good service (quick on tea refills)
- good atmosphere and decor (not crowded and relatively quiet. Not noisy or cheap)
- High costs keep restaurant not as busy, so you can actually have a conversation
- quality food
Con:
- A bit pricy for amount of food
Conclusion: Fantastic place to eat for a date night or family outing. Bit pricy so prepare to shell out (~$30/person) $$ for a basic meal and even more for anything else. Don’t come if you’re looking for cheap food to fill you up.
