Really cool sushi restaurant! Lots of drink options and a HUGE menu to choose from. I have been here three times. One of the times the dish I ordered never came so I had to cancel it, and the waitress barely showed us any attention. But the other two times were fantastic. The service was great, everything came very quickly and the food was very delicious. I love that there is so much to look at all over the ceiling and walls. The Resturant does have very loud music so you almost feel like you’re at a club, but I love that type of ambiance . You don’t find a place that had that type of vibe around often, especially for a sushi Resturant. I would also suggest booking a table or planning ahead of time because the wait times or normally pretty long. It can get very busy. But if you want a funky night out for a fun sushi date this is definitely the place to go!

Really good food and a great ambience. If you're in the mood for funky Japanese check this place out. Definitely not your typical Vancouver sushi restaurant or the most authentic but definitely one of the most enjoyable.

I came here with the family for a weekend lunch. We started off with some yam fries and sodas. The soda was flat so I ordered another drink. For the main course we ordered a vegetarian bowl (which was very disappointing) and some sushi rolls (which was decent). The item my wife ordered to compensate for the bowl never came, and we had to cancel it eventually. The ambience is very interesting, with all sorts of things hanging from the ceiling. Certainly unique. There were only two servers in the restaurant and it seemed like they were struggling to keep up with the customer orders. They had loud music on which doesn't provide for a family friendly atmosphere, but that's not a big deal. I probably would not come here again, mainly because the food was average.

Has a daily specials menu with appys, rolls and drinks! It was a sunny day so we sat outside. Took a peek inside and super quirky. The sushi was good, very filling.

Unique dining space. Good friendly service. The salmon nigiri was fine, the rice seemed a tad dry? The volcano roll was good and also the salmon oshi. The yam fries were actually probably the best dish we had.

The Eatery was fantastic! The interior decor was unique and cool! All the staff were friendly and extremely attentive! The food… The food was delicious! I ordered a plethora of sushi: the captain crunch, the rainbow roll, spicy tuna and the miss piggy. The captain crunch was my personal favourite! And for dessert had the Bacio Bianco and it was a great way to finish the meal! The only downside of this place is the wait time but it is WELL worth the wait! I would love to come back and try everything else on the menu!

It's definitely a funky place with interesting decor and unique ambience. We loved their menu with a wide variety to choose from with funky innovative names. Their service was fast but the food was decent. We ordered an appetizer of Veggie croquettes which was delicious, combination of some of their pressed sushis and veggie rolls and a dessert of Mars attacks. We will definitely go there again to explore some their other menu items.

Absolutely love this place. Although I did take out a few times, I could see that The Eatery stands apart from other Japanese restaurants with their unique interior and their quirky sushi menu. Not your traditional Japanese eatery as the interior has a glowave aesthetic with funky decor glowing under neon and black lights. This is definitely a place I'd like to have drinks with some friends in a relaxed bar setting eating some funky sushi creations while the DJ is spinning some beats. Since I'm saddled with kids during a pandemic, I had to settle for takeout and quietly ate with my family while the kids sang along with Frozen 2 in the background.... As for the sushi and sashimi, great quality, vibrant colours, creative rolls and all at a great price. It was a nice escape from the traditional. Phoned in my order, food was prepared precisely and exactly when they said it would be ready. Servers that helped me at the door were friendly and professional. Sad that we didn't eat in, hopefully next time. Would fully recommend The Eatery.
