Brought my guitar tube amp in on a Friday and they had already looked at it and repaired it by the next day which was awesome because they're closed Saturdays. Service was good and done way faster than I was quoted. Will have no problem returning in the future for electrical work.

Indecisive, unsure, uncooperative, after I took a day off work they neglected to show up. I had to phone them and they said they decided that they would order a mother board before coming just in case that's what it was. Just in case???Just in case??? Why not order a whole damn TV "just in case". They will not even think about getting back to their shop after 4:30pm so expect to have to take a day off work to get TV service. What would be so wrong with staggering the techs hours so they could do some after hours service calls even a couple nights a week??? Lost my business.

Same problem as everybody else here take my tv in pay $50 dollars get told repair cost will be low, and wait time would be 2-3 weeks. Almost 3 months later no tv get told repair price is double what it was orignally quoted, and they never bother to keep you informed as things change with your order. Getting a hold of them is already miserable as is but their work ethic for customers is pathetic. Better off staring at a broken tv then waste time with this so called "business".

Dropped off two tv's over a month ago told them I didn't want to spend much money and they could keep one if they fixed the other. These tv's are almost 10 years old. They took my 50$ deposit with a smile on their face and lied to my face saying they would try their best to save me some dime. I had to call them over a month later to hear that it would be almost 400$ to fix my tv. ARE YOU KIDDING. After reading these reviews I'm surprised no one has burned that place down. Crooks

So I came here after reading all the reviews on Google thinking, "ahhh, it can't be THAT bad as these people are saying, I'm sure it'll work out..." Boy, was I wrong. They need to improve on their customer communication. It took so long for them to get me an answer about my TV, that by the time they did, Black Friday was just around the corner so I bought myself a new TV instead for the same price on what it would cost to fix my old one.

We brought in a Pioneer Plasma TV to get an estimate for repair. After a two week waiting period, we were informed that the media receiver was shot. My husband told them that we would discuss the situation, and let them know what we wanted to do with the TV. We decided to try and purchase a used media receiver on e-bay ( we had originally paid over $4000 for this TV, and it still had a stunning unbeatable picture). My husband e-mailed to tell them we would pick it up. We were told at that point that his assistant mis-understood the work order, and threw the tv in the recycle bin, cracking the screen. They offered my husband his diagnostic pre-pay fee back. The following week, we received a call offering us a replacement TV. I feel they went above and beyond, trying to keep us happy with a replacement, and I'm happy that we reached an acceptable compromise. It isn't a Pioneer, but it's a larger working plasma. This review has been edited to reflect their efforts to make an unfortunate accident right, which we greatly appreciate. I would have given them five stars for that level of customer service if the offer had come immediately.

Short version; I'm a dummy, Ryan was kind and Sylvan Electronic was great. Contact wasn't a problem. Longer Version; What a dummy, and to be clear that's myself I speak of. I had an issue with my television and they came out under warranty to replace a couple of components. Ryan (the onsite tech) was polite, well presented and quick, fixed the issue, or so I thought. My father was the one home at the time of repair and once I got home from work I checked the TV and it turned on but nothing after that, the same problem with being unresponsive still existed. I called and emailed with this. They were quick to respond. Ryan made the trip out, he put his batteries in my remote and it worked. I'm that guy! I've heard of 'these' people but never did I think I would be one. it was the batteries. My only defense, we tried 3 different sets including one still sealed (but apparently very old). We tested them, all bad. What are the chances 3 sets would be bad. I'm buying a lottery ticket tonight. The final point, I was home this time and when Ryan, myself and my father realized it was the batteries, Ryan didn't even break stride. Ryan was kind, I deserved to feel like a dummy but there wasn't a trace of that, only helpful and kind. I'll be telling my close friends this story, they'll love this, I'm one of 'those' guys now.
