The last 2 years have gone really downhill for the quality of the food and the prices increased by over 25%. I’m pretty disappointed with whats happened. Due to this I’ve been mostly going to other sushi places with better quality for the same price. I still come here sometimes for the nostalgia.
J	Joe Roback on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant interior was very ornate and fancy. The large room was fully air-conditioned. My biggest feedback is the veggie combo is not vegan friendly. I avoided the miso soup which had fish products inside. The veggie roll had mayo which was an industry-first for me. I even asked the server before-hand and I guess she didn't know. I ended up biting into it lettong her know, then she replaced it. Otherwise great service and food.

First of all the sashimi was soso, I can barely chew it because the tender of the fish(?) is right in the middle of the salmon sashimi. Can’t deny it is pretty thick and the size per piece is large. The special sushi rolls were soso as well, on the awesome roll some has bigger piece of unagi and some has a tiny piece or none. The biggest problem with me today is with the servers, 3 out of 2 didn’t know what sashimi is in the assorted and deluxe sashimi. I do not expect you to remember all of them but as least ask someone who knows and get back to me, but they didn’t.

The server Daniel brings the wrong fish and then tells me that I didn’t order the right thing. I repeat to him that I asked for sockeye salmon but insists I didn’t ask for that when I ordered 2 salmon dishes back to back and when ordering said I want sockeye salmon. He kept arguing saying I didn’t ask and tells me I’m being racist when I told him he wrote it down wrong. Such a terrible approach and zero desire to remedy his mistakes. Just terrible. Try avoid as Capilano Sushi across is much better and that’s our go to sushi place as their customer service is phenomenal. Don’t put yourself through the aggravation. Unfortunate we made this mistake and ruined our lunch.
