★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Way over priced for a take out sushi joint 6 pieces of cucumber maki was 3.20 and avocado roll is 6.20! The sushi tasted good but used a lot of plastic containers, only gives you 1 packet of soy sauce. Take your money and go to the amazing neighbouring authentic Mexican joint or a sit down sushi place nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to Akebono for more than an year … 2 sometimes 3 times a week. Nothing but great and consistent service. 5 starts throughout …. However we went back a few weeks ago and learned it is now under new management. …and what a difference. Drinks are no longer included on your purchase, took them about 25 minutes to prep our order and they forgot the side of rice we asked for. When we inquired about it they asked for another 15 min. Soy source was also very limited and we had to go back for more … 4 bags for $60 worth of sushi. What a disappointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They deliver big party platters. Better sushi than many others I've gone to in Vancouver. They got it ready quickly (5 minutes). The spicy sushi was very spicy - a bit too much sauce on it. Good deal with the free pop. Pretty good selection. Friendly staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great sushi spot inside the market. Staff was very friendly. Sushi was great, you can notice the ingredients were really fresh. Prices are reasonable. The Philadelphia box is my favorite. Totally recommend a stop for a quick snack.
